Fibre dosing Fully automatic equipment for steel- and synthetic fibres
Steel Fibre Dosing Equipment Function Power supply The fibre tray is filled with steel fibres from paperbags, boxes or big-bags. Desired batch, in kg, is set on a weighing instrument or in the mixing computer. The fibres are fed into the mixer, onto aggregates on belts, into a skip in the weighing bins or to the mixer outlet. Direct addition into the truck mixer is also possible. The vibration motors are made for 380-650V/3ph/ 50Hz. Insulation class IP56. Cabinet IP65. Construction A cylindrical tray, with a spirally shaped feeder coil on its inside, is mounted on a rigid framework with 2 vibration motors attached to it. The equipment is produced in accordance with CE and EMC directives. The tray is removable with the option of additional tray for quick change of fibre type. Feeding capacity and tray content The capacity in kg/min is very dependent on type of fibre as well as fibre level in the tray. The tray capacity in kg, is also very dependent on the type of fibre. 2 Weighing / control system The fibre dosers are mounted on loadcells. We use negative weighing. The control system type-ms is a complete system with the weighing unit LCD-3. The control system type FS is used for total integration of the unit into the mixing computer. A weighing accuracy of ±0.1-2.0% can be reached on normal batches. Installation and start-up The units are delivered ready for a quick installation and instant connection. The bigger units can be put on concrete foundations or, if in a steel construction, preferably with a 5 7 tons counter weight. References More than 500 steel fibre dosing units are installed in over 40 countries today. Reference lists and contacts upon request.

Fibres are transported via a conveyer belt in connection with the discharge from the mixer. 3
Synthetic Fibre Dosing Equipment Function Power supply The fibre tray is filled with synthetic fibres from paperbags, boxes or big-bags. Desired batch, in kg, is set on a weighing instrument or in the mixing computer. The fibres are fed into the mixer, onto aggregates on belts, into a skip in the weighing bins or to the mixer outlet. Direct addition into the truck mixer is also possible. SF500SX, MD400 and PP250 are made for 380650 V/3ph/50Hz and PPE40 for 110-220 V/1ph/50Hz Construction A cylindrical tray, with a spirally shaped feeder coil on its inside, is mounted on a rigid framework with 2 vibration motors attached to it. SF500SX, MD400 and PP250 have two vibration motors and PPE40 has one electromagnetic motor. The equipment is produced in accordance with CE and EMC directives. The tray is removable with the option of additional tray for quick change of fibre type. Feeding capacity and tray content Typical values are mentioned. They depend very much on the type of fibre being used. Weighing / control system The fibre dosers are mounted on loadcells. We use negative weighing. The control system type-ms is a complete system with the weighing unit LCD-3. The control system type FS is used for total integration of the unit into the mixing computer. Accuracy: SF500SX ± 0.5-2.0%, MD400 and PP250 ± 0.52.0%, PPE40 ± 0.5-2.0% very much depending on the type of fibre being used! Installation and start-up The units are delivered ready for a quick installation and instant connection. Installation on concrete slabs or in steel constructions with a counterweight. Weather and wind protection is necessary for synthetic fibres! References Dozens of units are installed in the USA, Sweden, England, Holland, Austria, Australia, Spain and Switzerland. Additional Equipment Special equipment custom made Continuous dosing in kg/min for specific applications, for example units like the SF500SX/SF250C (below) or the SR1200 with a sieve system and a by-pass path for extremely difficult fibres (to the right). Other sizes available upon demand. Special conveyor belts as buffer belts for large fibre quantities SF250 with belt The addition into the fibre doser can follow automatically or manually. Buffer capacity by an SF250 for example 700 kg, and by the SF500S up to 8 big-bags. SF500SX with belt 6
Conveyor belt as intermediate batch storage The fibre batch is pre-fed onto and stored on a conveyor belt. The addition to the aggregate or into the mixer can than flow rapidly, or with a controlled speed to achieve a pre-mix. The belt is equipped with frequency-controlled drive. Steel fibre bucket elevator This specially developed bucket elevator allows a rapid (2.2 m/s) vertical transport of steel fibres, up to 30 m height. Fibres are added to the weighing bin or directly into the mixer. Over 40 elevators are installed in Switzerland, France, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Holland and England today. 7
