The swingarm mounts directly to the HPS Torsion Cover (PG3660C542V3) and improves ease of access to the LCPEs. Installation and Operation Instructions Step 1 Install (4) 3/8 x 1 carriage bolts into the slots of the desired swingarm location of the vault torsion cover. Insert 2 carriage bolts in the top slot and 2 carriage bolts in the bottom slot of location VIEW OF TORSION COVER MOUNTING SLOTS INSTALL 4 CARRIAGE BOLTS INTO SLOTS OF DESIRED LCPE LOCATION 3
Step 2 Attach the swingarm assembly to the torsion cover by bolting the angled bracket of the assembly to the torsion cover utilizing the (4) 3/8 x 1 carriage bolts installed in step 1..Install 4 washers and 4 locking nuts to secure angled bracket to torsion cover. Position swingarm in desired location along slot length of torsion cover and adequately tighten lock nuts to safely secure swingarm assembly to torsion cover using 9/16 socket or wrench. INSTALL 4 WASHERS AND NUTS AND SECURELY TIGHTEN HARDWARE 3 SWINGARM MOUNTING LOCATIONS 4
Step 3 Check clearance of swingarm relative to torsion cover and other swingarm assemblie in vault. Adjust swingarm location side to side as required to achieve equipment clearance (there should be no interference of equipment) Check operation of swingarm by rotating swingarm to upright position. Check that latch captures swingarm and secures in upright position. Check telescopic feature and spring pin operation by extending swingarm until spring pin engages at extended position. Check rotational feature by rotating swingarm in either direction 180 until swingarm locks into rotated position. 5
Step 4 Install stainless steel latch strap by placing strap over the strap bracket and installing 1/4 bolt with lock nut. Tighten bolt using 7/16 socket or wrenches. STAINLESS STEEL LATCH STRAP 1/4" STRAP HARDWARE Step 5.Install Corning Cable System LCPE (purchased separately) onto swingarm per manufacturer s recommended installation procedure. LCPE 6
Step 6 Lower swingarm by gripping swingarm handle and pulling spring pin. Rotate and lower swingarm until it is in its lowest position. While grasping handle lift swingarm latch and lower swingarm into vault. 7
