1step(conventional) & 2step spiral welded processes Sequences in 1step process :. skelp edge conditioning. spiral forming + ID and delayed OD SAW Sequences in 2step process :. skelp edge conditioning. spiral forming + high speed continuous tack-welding. final ID OD SAW on single pipes Benefits of 2step process :. High speed forming by fast tack-welding (up to 12 m/min). Excellent geometry (forming without welding). Constant high quality in final SAW (welding without forming) Ref. :[1]

National Iran Oil Company Oil Pipelines : the most applicable and most secure way for domestic transmission. investment and operational costs are about1/3 to 1/4 comparing to other methods (Rail, Road, sea ). Total Production Capacity : 4.25 million barrel / Day Domestic use : 1.8 million barrel / Day in 9 refinery complexes. 70% of this is transported via 16,000 Km Pipeline across the country. This network includes 170 units and 215 communication centers. National Vision for 2024: 7 new refinery complexes is required and so the length of oil pipelines will increase by 44% (to 23000 km ).
