INSTALL PREPARATION Remove existing brackets that hold the topper to the bed. Make sure that the truck bed is clean and free of debris. Insure Topper is perfectly aligned to truck bed. Insure topper can manually be lifted in the corners. Locate truck bed wiring harness, including connection to cyclops, break light, and over head topper light. Disconnect for now, will be extending later. Do not throw out the styrofoam in the box, the corner pieces will be used during the installation. 7

ELECTRICAL PREPARATION RUNNING PROVIDED WIRE FROM THE BATTERY POSITIVE & ENGINE COMPARTMENT GROUND ALONG THE FRAME WIRE HARNESS TO THE LEFT REAR (LR) OF PICK UP BED REFER TO PARTS DIAGRAM - ITEM E Run wire from engine compartment to back of pick up bed. Follow the wire harness along the frame. Starting in the engine compartment terminate the positive wire to the positive terminal of the battery. Terminate the ground wire to the a solid ground in the engine compartment. Secure wire with tie straps avoiding any hot parts of the engine. Secure with tie straps along frame rail all the way to the back of the truck. Insure to remove any slack in the wire. Fish wire near the LR location to be connected to the topper lift control box. 8

BRACKET ALIGNMENT & INSTALLATION Position LR bracket with bed rail clamp attached to the lip of the bed rail DO NOT REMOVE FOOT BRACKET TAPE BACKING. Allow clearance for air pump and control box with tailgate closed. Lower the top mounting bracket down to the topper lip to insure proper alignment. Using your level make sure ram is level vertically front to back/side to side. Secure side mounting bracket with 19mm wrench/rachet. Mark the position of the foot with tape or a marker, to secure in this position later.(see appendix B if you have a bedliner or your need to reposition the foot Slide foot bracket up to remove tape backing, clean under mounting surface, and secure Position top bracket on the topper lip, to be drilled later. Mark the center of the top bracket hole on the topper lip. Measure from the foot bracket to the edge of the bed. Save this measurement to be used with RR bracket. Note RR bracket foot. 9

Position RR foot bracket in the same distance as the LR foot bracket from the tailgate (measurement from LR previously). Using your level make sure ram is level vertically front to back/side to side. Secure side mounting bracket with 19mm wrench/rachet. Mark the position of the foot with tape or a marker, to secure in this position later.(see appendix B if you have a bed liner or need to reposition the foot) Slide foot bracket up to remove tape backing, clean under mounting surface, and secure. Mark the top bracket of the hole int he topper lip, to be drilled later. Repeat for LF & RF, MAKE SURE YOU MARK AND LEVEL BRACKETS! MAKE SURE TO MARK THE UPPER BRAKET CENTER OF THE HOLE TO BE DRILLED LATER. Position brackets LF & RF as close to the corner as the topper will allow, BUT LF & RF MUST BE THE SAME DISTANCE FROM THE CORNER ON EACH SIDE!!!! RF LF 10

PREPARE & DRILL HOLES IN TOPPER LIP THIS WILL ALLOW THE ATTACHMENT OF UPPER BRACKET TO THE TOPPER Twist top brackets LF, RF, LR & RR by removing one bolt to clear the area for drilling. Lift each corner of the topper manually and insert styrofoam blocks in line with brackets included in shipping box. MAKE SURE TOPPER IS ALIGNED TO TRUCK BED. Starting with RR drill a pilot hole using a 1/4 bit, than drill final hole with 1/2 bit ( warning: Do Not Let Bit Slide and Protect Truck Bedrail From Drill Bit). If available use a 90 degree drill. Repeat for LF, RF & LR 11

SECURING TOP BRACKET Twist the top bracket back into position on each assembly RR, LR, LF & LR. Lower Upper Bracket to align with the drilled hole in the topper. AIR LINE INSTALLATION A B C D E REFER TO APPENDIX A FOR THE SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM Three bags provided are labeled right, center, left where left is the pump side. The lines are pre cut, you may have to trim the length. Look for colored tape to match up where the lines connect. Picture A - When connecting lines make sure the end is cut straight using a razor blade. When inserting line wet the tip first. To remove the line push down on circular end of connector and pull out line. Picture B/C/D(right bag) - Starting in corner RR connect line to the ram. Fish line along and under bedrail securing with adhesive fastners provided. Insert other end into T in the corner by RF shown in picture C. Run a line from this T connector to RF. In the third hole of T connector run a line to the splitter T shown picture D above. Position in the center as shown in D. Picture D/E(center bag) - From the double end of the T connector shown in picture D run a line to the T connector by LF in the corner. In the second hole of this T connector in picture D run a line all the way to the back of the control box. Note: Line should already be connected and spooled to box for you. Picture D/E(left bag) - Now finish in corner LF from the corner T connector by LF run a line to LF ram. Run the other T connector hole to LR ram. 13

OPERATION A B C D Picture A - On/Off switch. Please note: The pump will shut off automatically when the tank pressure is met. It is o.k. to leave the power on. Power on the system to confirm the pump runs, the tank fills, and there are no leaks in the airlines. Air line leaks should be noticeable with sound and will cause the pump to over run. Picture B - Raise and lower topper - using the up/down switch, hold to raise or lower. NOTE: AFTER INSTALLATION THE RAMS CAN BE STIFF. OPERATION WILL SMOOTH OUT AS THE SYSTEM BREAKS IN BY RAISING AND LOWERING. Picture C/D - For safety in picture C there is a pressure release valve on side of tank. In picture D if required the tank air can be released manually (bottom of tank). This should be done periodically to drain any moisture in the system. NOTE: The air compressor will automatically shut off if the compressor overheats due to usage. It automatically run when power is reset. 17
