Ref. no.: 2-16 Advantages and construction details Aero-Flex duct system Aero - ALUFLEX duct Ref. no. 2 is suitable for all needs of the ventilation technology. According to an approved production process, the duct is made out of two-ply aluminium strip, at the points of overlapping out of three-ply aluminium strip. This execution fulfils the requirements of DIN 24146 in case of low pressure loss. The technical data and the classification according to DIN can be seen in the chart on page 3. The production process helps to avoid material accumulation and enables clean separating by means of simple cutting tools, such as knives, for example. Aero - FLEX duct Ref. no. 7 and 8 made from galvanized steel strip (ref. no. 7) and on request made from stainless steel material no. 1.4436 (ref. no. 8), is manufactured according to the above mentioned production process, however out of single-layer strip and at the points of overlapping out of two-ply strip. Aero - ALUSTRETCH duct Ref. no. 5 is a two-ply Aero-ALUFLEX duct, compressed to a length of about 12. It is extendable to an effective length of 00. The advantages of the compressed duct are its high stability and the low space requirement as far as transport and storage are concerned. Aero - ALUFLEX isolated duct Ref. no. consists of two Aero-ALUFLEX ducts with intermediate insulating layer made from glass fibre. This execution provides an efficient solution in many areas of the ventilation technology because an expensive, subsequent insulation is not required or can not be realized any more. The isolated duct is manufactured in the nominal diameters or dimensions according to ref. no.. Special dimensions and executions on request are available in the short term. The usual fastening elements (push-fit ends with rolling rubber ring seal, shrink tape, etc.) are available. The processing is as unproblematic as the processing of the Aero-ALUFLEX duct. The bending radius is according to the nominal width the 2 to 2,5-fold of the diameter of the external duct. Aero - ALUFLEX attenuator Ref. no. 13 is based on the Aero-ALUFLEX duct, too. The inner duct is mechanically perforated in the adjacencies of the insulation section. The non-combustible insulating layer is coated with abrasionproof glass fibre and is delivered in the thickness of 25 and. A thickness of 75 is available on request. On page 8 you can see the values of sound dissipation (insertion loss) depending on the insulation thickness. End caps made from galvanized steel facilitate a simple duct installation. Depending on the nominal width the bending radius is the 2 to 2,5-fold of the diameter of the external duct. The Aero- ALUFLEX attenuator can even be mounted in bent shape. - 1 -
