H215 003 Within Airbus Helicopters Super Puma family, H215 workhorse helicopters are legendary for their rugged design, excellent payload lift performance, and demonstrated ability to operate in the most austere environments. With the H215 model, Airbus Helicopters now offers two versions of this mission-proven helicopter, incorporating modern avionics and systems. The longer variant perfectly meets multirole and passenger (or troop) transport missions, and the light utility variant meets aerial work requirements. Features of the H215 include the 4-axis autopilot from Airbus Helicopters advanced H225 helicopter, providing flight envelope protection, unrivalled precision and automatic hover stability in even the harshest operating conditions. Landings and takeoffs from unprepared sites where recirculating dust or snow can cause disorientation (brown-out or white-out) are thus made safer.
004 H215 H215 multirole version Based on a longer airframe, this variant offers a long range capability and a high seating capacity. It is perfectly tailored for: passenger (or troop) transport law enforcement and search and rescue missions humanitarian and NGO operations
H215 005 Thanks to its new flexible industrial concept, Airbus Helicopters is able to swiftly personalize the helicopter, and to propose significantly reduced delivery times. A wide range of optional equipment is available, including: Enlarged aft fuselage compartment & special one-step door 22-seat installation for troops Fast roping beam Telephonics 16000 Weather radar, displayed on AHCAS Spectrolab SX16 searchlight AAT EMS quick conversion kit Armor plating and crash-worth seats for pilot and co-pilot Hydraulic hoist 75m/272kg (246ft/600lb) and observation bubble window in cabin door Emergency floatation gear and Spectrolab SX16 searchlight
006 H215 H215 aerial work / utility version Based on a shorter airframe, this variant has an increased payload and full hook capacity. It perfectly matches any kind of aerial work or utility airlift (with internal and external loads) and firefighting missions.
H215 007 This variant is also produced in line with Airbus Helicopters new flexible industrial concept. Within a short turnaround time, the baseline aircraft is ready to be fitted with ad-hoc options, such as: Cargo sling 4.5 t / 9,920 lb External mirrors Wire strike protection
008 H215 Support & Services The H215 has an excellent availability rate with optimized maintenance and much better operating costs than the competition.
H215 009 Maintenance Thanks to more than 5 million flight hours, the H215 benefits from a proven and appreciated maintenance history. With the H215 maintenance-by-task concept, operators are able to organize their periodic maintenance plans according to their individual needs. A team with 2 technicians performs: One engine full replacement within 45 min The main rotor head full replacement within 1.5 hours HIGHEST MAINTENABILITY MAINTENANCE INSPECTIONS Daily checks H215 Pilot 50 flight hours 13 MMH 500 flight hours / 24 months 200 MMH AIRFRAME MAJOR INSPECTION 7,500 flight hours / 15 years 1,200 MMH MAKILA 1A1 30, 50, 300 & 600 flight hours 0.0836 MMH / flight hours NB: each inspection considered separatly, and without work preparation, reworking, servicing, service bulletin or unscheduled maintenance, for a generic configuration and with qualified technicians MAIN COMPONENTS TBO (h) SLL (h) Main Rotor Blades 20.000 Tail Rotor Blades 20.000 Main Rotor Hub 1.500 Main Rotor Shaft 11.000 Main Gear Box 3.000 Tail Gear Box 3.500 Tail Rotor Hub 3.500 Intermediate Gear Box 3.400 Main and Tail Servo Control 3.000 Makila 1A1 Engine 3.000
