For the planning and embedding of the units into existing or new vessels, we are able to support our clients with 2D/3D-planning of the products around the installation on board. It will be managed in co-operation with an associated engineering office with a long time experience in shipbuilding. Furthermore we provide support in any technical and commercial aspects during construction phase, including contract negotiations. Experience has taught us that a good dialogue is important from the start. COMMISSIONING Our service technicians have a wide background and wealth of experience, which gives the qualification to insure that the products we supply and related equipment are installed in the best possible way. The ability to react quickly and flexible to individual customer requirements and to supply tailor-made solutions is one of the distinguished marks of us and our principals. SERVICE We are here to help AFTERSALES Spare Parts, Upgrades and Retrofits Along with sales and technical consultancy the service sector plays a main part in our daily business. We have the knowledge, the spare parts and the resources to respond quickly and effectively. Steinbach Ingenieurtechnik is the accredited service station of our principals and, consequently, member of their world wide networks of service stations. Repairs are carried out by our service technicians either on-board or in our maintenance workshop. A comprehensive stock of spare parts and special tools ensures prompt and professional on-site repair as well as swift replacements of defective components. Genuine, common spare parts for our standard units are available from our stock for swift delivery. If needed, special parts can be provided short-termed as well. To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the products and thus excellence in service our service technicians are trained by the manufacturers on a regular basis.

A special version, the Combi-Thrusters, works as a tunnel thruster in upper position and as an azimuth thruster in lower position. Propeller blade data, such as diameter, pitch, rpm, skew and load distribution, are always carefully selected to give the best solution with respect to both efficiency and noise/ vibration characteristics. Tailor-made blade design ensures optimum propeller efficiency with lowest possible vibration and noise levels. PROPELLER NOZZLES The Brunvoll HE nozzle is specifically designed to increase the thrust from the propeller in bollard pull conditions. THORQUE TM INCREDIBLY EFFICIENT Thorque is the most efficient motor for converting electric power into propulsion power, either the power comes from a power storage or an electric power production unit. Thorque is a unique permanent magnet propulsion motor with integrated pitch and thrust mechanism for CPP applications. Thorque is an increased reliability machine compliant with current Rules of DNV GL for Redundancy Type R3, which allows Thorque to be used as a propulsion motor in single screw configurations.
