GENERAL DESCRIPTION ORLANDO SOLAR MULTI ISLAND SOLAR DRIVE is a system for pumping water powered by photovoltaic panel. The application relates to systems of lifting water from a well, irrigation systems, where grid connection is absent or where the user wishes to save on energy consuption. ENG ORLANDO SOLAR MULTI ISLAND SOLAR DRIVE can drive three phase asynchronous or synchronous motors from 48 to 230Vac. SYSTEM The following picture shows the main and the base scheme of the application. Using only solar energy, MULTI ISLAND SOLAR DRIVE drives the motor allowing the action of the water pump. PHOTOVOLTAIC GENERATOR AND SYSTEM PERFORMANCE The dimensioning of the power on PV fields must consider the following factors: the place where the system is placed, the work to be performed (cubic meters of water) and the time required to execute it. Remind that the sun, unlike grid connection, is a reliable source but unpredictable; so, with the same irradiation condition, the greater the peak power installed is, the greater the work will be (in term of hours). The picture shows a typical working curve of solar pump in a day chosen at random. The graph shows the power absorbed and the water flow. You can see that for the same plant, in this case a pump with a synchronous motor, performance are substaintially improved by increasing the time of operation and stabilizing performance. A greater energy available has made the system more immune from temporary atmospheric variations. The volume of water raised during the day has increased from 7,77m3 to 10,8m3.

MULTI ISLAND - USER MANUAL MULTI ISLAND is a water pumping system with power from photovoltaic panels. It is designed for use in water wells, irrigation systems, or the power supply network is not available, or when the user wishes to save on energy consumption. Inverter Specifications: Protection in galvanized steel sheet with protection IP20C. Power supply from photovoltaic minimum 40Vdc, 440Vdc Absolute maximum Power handling maximum 3kw 230Vac, 15A maximum input or output with any output voltage. Managing external sensor Managing dry run "dry pump" Power switch Maximum ambient temperature range: 40 C External dimensions: 260mm * 250mm * 100mm h Weight: 2.8kg Package Standard SIZING OF SOLAR GENERATOR The dimensioning of the PV field must ensure sufficient power and voltage inverter for driving the motor properly. The minimum number of panels recommended for the formation of the string is variable depending on the voltage of the connected motor. Below is a short table indicates the recommended number of panels in series to use: Rated motor voltage Number of panels in series string/strings 230Vac 10-11 130Vac 6-8 110Vac 5-7 50Vac 2-4 The power to be installed instead must take into account the power absorbed by the motor (P1) and the number of hours of work wished during the day. A lower power than the nominal causes a deceleration of the engine and therefore a failure to achieve the performance of the pump. A low margin of power available than is required by the application due to a reduced number of working hours for the same irradiation. DIMENSIONING OF SOLAR GENERATOR The table is a quick reference to the choice of a photovoltaic field, suitable for most applications. They can be used in panels of any type, however, remain within the characteristics of power and voltage requirements. You need to pay attention to the working temperature of the system, noting that with increasing temperature there is a loss of power and voltage available to the heads of the photovoltaic panels. ENG MAXIMUM VOLTAGE STRING: NOT exceed 440Vdc considering the tension Vopen. Exceeding even momentary of this voltage can damage the system. NOMINAL STRING: The nominal voltage of string optimum is related to the nominal voltage of the motor used. Check in the table MOTORS rated voltage string recommended. PEAK POWER: The minimum power corresponds to the power consumption (P1) from the motor added to the losses of the system that can be estimated at 10%. GETTING STARTING WARNING ENG ELECTRONIC DEVICE UNDER VOLTAGE ALL OPERATIONS MUST BE PERFORMED BY EXPERTS Power supply must be disconnected before wiring the product. Wait 20 minutes after power off before making any wiring. Incorrect connections may damage or destroy the product. Make the ground connection. Do not use the product other than for the control of any pump. Do not use the insulation test on the product, may damage the power device. DO NOT install the product in a place exposed to high temperatures, direct sunlight, in high humidity, excessive vibration, to flammable or explosive gases, corrosive liquids, dust particles or atmospheric metal. Failure to follow instructions could result in fire, explosion or electric shock. Keep out of reach of children. This manual is an integral and essential part of the product. Read carefully the instructions contained since they provide important information for safe use and maintenance.

WIRING PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES AND PERIODIC The air intakes and the external cleaning of the product and the space where it is installed are important in order to permit the power unit to dissipate properly. Do not install the product in the environment where it can be affected by water splashes, dust, or directly exposed to sunlight. The cables for the connection of the photovoltaic field, the motor and any network or generator, must be of suitable section, in order not to cause significant power losses in the cables themselves or cause it to overheat. EXPERT SETTINGS For any parameter refer to the specific manual. ALARMS & SOLUTIONS Each alarm can be encoded by the count of Flash Led FAULT. Each sequence of flash is followed by a pause. After each faut the product resets itself and attempt a new start after about 2 minutes. Check the parameter of the minimum power "DRY PUMP" parameter CE MARK The CE marking certifies the compliance of the apparatus with the essential requirements of health and safety requirements laid down by European directives listed in the EC declaration of conformity. MULTI ISLAND - MAXI SOLAR DRIVE

Submersible pumps designed for 6 wells. Solid and sturdy construction. Bottom and top casing are generated from micro-casting steel AISI 304. Top casing is 3 threaded and the non-return valve is incorporated. As standard, up to 7.5 HP power the pump is supplied for connection to the 4 motor (NEMA) from 10HP to 6 motor. The maximum overall dimensions, with a cable cover, is 140 mm and direction of rotation is counterclockwise viewed from the top casing. To guarantee the functionning, the water level should be at least one meter above the aspiraiton. The service can be continuous. Uses are for clean and non-aggressive water. MULTI ISLAND MAXI MULTI ISLAND MAXI is a pumping water system powered from photovoltaic panels or with hybrid power (photovoltaic and power grid at the same time). The application is useful to installations of lifting water from a well, water storage of reservoirs or containers, where the electricity network is absent or as an alternative to systems in motor generator. You can feed the system as hybrid, that is, from the power grid and photovoltaic simultaneously, integrating momentary power shortages on photovoltaics for weather reasons or during the night. In this mode, the system can not in any way enter power into the grid. The minimum voltage startup is equal to 500Vdc, while the absolute maximum is equal to 820Vdc. The minimum number of panels recommended for the formation of the string is equal to 18, while the maximum number should not exceed 22 panels, compatible with the characteristics of the panels used and the operating temperatures registered on the plant. AUTO ACTIVATION EXTERNAL GENERATOR (GENSET ACTIVATION) The terminals 3-4-5 are available for the automatic switching of an external generator or any other function related to the reading of a pyranometer externally connected. This output clicks on reaching the 30% of the absolute value read from the pyranometer, which has as an end scale 1200w / m2. The activation of the generator with respect to the threshold reached, is delayed in the activation and deactivation for 300 seconds in order to avoid repeated false starts in the event of sudden changes in irradiation. The customer can change this threshold depending on the application requirements by changing the parameter MENU \ DIGITAL OUTPUT \ P302 CHANGE OF PARAMETERS 1) from the Status screens in the picture on the left, place the selector RUN/STOP to STOP. 2) use the arrows buttons to bring the parentheses to enclose the desired menu (PAR), or (CF) depending to the instruction that follow 3) once positioned brackets, enter the menu by pressing the ENTER key 4) with the arrow keys find the submenu shown in the instructions and once you find it, with the ENTER key enter in the parameter list 5) with the arrow keys search for the parameter specified in the instructions and once you find it with the ENTER key, enter in changes mode. 6) change the parameter with the arrow keys and once set the desired value confirm with ENTER. To move up one level in the menu, press ESC. To return to the Home menu, press MENU. Repeat the operation for each parameter to be changed.
