PTFE Gasket Sheets The most modern manufacturing technologies enable TEADIT to produce a new generation of eptfe gasket materials with multi-directional fibre structure in form of sheets and tapes. Flat ring gaskets with and without metal eyelets: The simple flat gasket cut from sheet material remains the most widely used method of flange sealing. The characteristics, available from our wide range of gasket materials, comprise good adaptability to rough or uneven sealing surfaces, excellent resistance against gases and fluids at high pressure and fluctuating temperature, as well as resistance against aggressive media. However, in today s world of environmental awareness and the need for ever tighter control of emissions, the simple flat gasket may not meet all the latest mandatory controls. TEADIT has met these ever increasing demands and laws regarding environmental and safety issues (e.g. TA-Luft) by developing a full range of gaskets reinforced with metal eyelets. Cut gaskets with metal eyelets, made from soft compressed fibre materials or graphite, have a number of distinct advantages: High resistance against blow-out Approval for use with dangerous gases in connection with smooth flanges, according to UVV 29 for gases and VdTÜV supplement AD-B7 and AD-B8 Improved effectiveness of seal against dry gases and creeping media No contamination of clean media like paints, varnishes, pharmaceutical products, food-stuffs, etc. Prevents chemical attack of gasket material Prevents erosion of soft gasket material by abrasive media and/or high fluid flow velocity Increases mechanical stability and improves thermal service parameters Improves handling of large gaskets ensures electrical conductivity in case of insulating gasket materials like PTFE Material for metal eyelets: 1.4571 (316 Ti) Using cut gaskets with metal eyelet reinforcement can considerably improve sealability and operational safety. Because of the metal reinforcement of the inner circumference of the gasket, and by choosing a suitable gasket material, applications with a maximum temperature of 65 C can be sealed durably and reliably.

Double-jacketed gaskets TEADIT double-jacketed gaskets are particularly suited for applications like heat-exchangers and boilers. The gasket is constructed of a soft, heat resistant, non asbestos filler material, which is completely enclosed in a two-piece metal jacket. When pass partition bars are required, we offer a welded pass bar construction. With a welded pass bar arrangement the fluid is retained by the primary seal at the inner diameter of the gasket. Thus the primary seal maintains its function, providing a seal of higher integrity. Many standard bar configurations are available, special configurations on request. the metal jacket covering the filler material prevents contamination ensures high elasticity and recovery nearly any dimension and shape can be made the welded construction of the bars results in two independent seals: the primary seal at the inner diameter and the secondary seal at the outer diameter. Standard materials: Metal jacket: carbon steel, soft iron, 34, 316L Filler material: graphite Manhole gaskets and lid seals By using a new, temperature-stable, corrosion-resistant and chemically resistant heavy-duty fabric, the gaskets conform well to any flange or lid geometry, irrespective of the fastening mechanism. The recovery together with the thermosetting reinforcement of the fabric ensures sustained tightness between maintenance intervals, even at fluctuating load. After installing the gasket, at start-up of the boiler, the bolts (fastening device) have to be re-tightened, after this the gasket will have reached the ideal operational condition. Component approval according to TRD 41 Fabric/elastomer gaskets according to TRD 41, 42, 61, 611 and component identification TÜV D.99-1.C

Gasket tapes 37 Gasket-tape braided from pure eptfe-fibres, impregnated with PTFE-dispersion and silicone oil. Temperature range from 1 C up to + 26 C (-148 F up to 5 F) Can be used with most chemicals, even very aggressive ones (ph 14) Adapts easily to gasket surfaces Ideal for sealing large lids, etc on chemical applications. 311 Similar to style 37, but made from pure, expanded flexible graphite. Style 311 is also available with Inconel wire reinforcement. eptfe pure flexible graphite Excellent heat resistance from 24 C up to + 45 C (-4 F up to 842 F), with steam up to 65 C (1,2 F). Can be used in connection with most media, including steam, fuel, gas, oil, chemicals, etc. (ph 14) Expanded PTFE-joint-sealant-material TEADIT 24 B, 24 BB und 25 BI TEADIT manufacture the complete range of EXPANDED PTFE gasketing - from the standard gasket from a spool joint sealant TEADIT 24B, to the wider version TEADIT 24BB, up to the multi-directionally expanded tape TEADIT 25BI which has equal tensile strength both lengthwise and crosswise. The multi-directionally expanded TEADIT 25BI combines all the advantages of expanded PTFE with minimal cold-flow and creep. This is the ultimate solution for the toughest sealing problems. PTFE envelope - gaskets Y UR UR-D The chemical resistance of rubber gaskets and compressed fibre gaskets can be considerably improved by inserting them into a PTFE-envelope. Because of the good adaptability of PTFE, particularly low sealing rates can be achieved with adequate gasket pressure. UE UE-D By choosing particularly suitable styles of PTFE with low cold-flow (e.g. Dyneon TFM 16), and by using special combinations of insert materials, e.g. corrugated metal rings with graphite cover on both sides, even the most demanding sealing problems (e.g. enamelled flanges or applications with serious thermal cycling) can be solved. PTFE-envelope gaskets are being widely used in the food and beverage industry, as well as in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry, because of their anti-adhesive properties and the physiological harmlessness of PTFE. They can be removed quickly and easily and without residue from the flange faces, new gaskets are installed in no time. By adding 2% of conductive pigment to the PTFE-resin, or by adding earth connection points to the corrugated metal ring, electrical conductivity can be assured. For use with diffusing or strongly toxic media (e.g. chlorine gas), special PTFE-envelopes with,75mm thick material and reinforced inner diameter acting as diffusion barrier, can be produced.

PTFE envelope - gaskets Y Machined PTFE-envelope, normally with only one insert. For uncritical applications with low temperature and low pressure. Insert at customer s option. UR Machined PTFE-envelope for demanding applications. No notch-effect at inner diameter. These PTFE-envelopes can be fitted with various inserts or insert combinations. Larger diameters are produced in welded (folded tape) construction. A complex welding process avoiding the problematic overlapping of the PTFE-material makes the production of large PTFE-envelopes possible. Those have the same features and high quality standard as the smaller, machined, seamless versions. UR-D Like style UR, but with additionally reinforced inner diameter as diffusion barrier. Inserts at customer s option. UE Machined PTFE-envelope for flanges according to DIN 2691 (tongue and groove) and DIN 2692 (male and female). Inserts at customer s option. Spiral-wound gaskets For applications with high temperature variations (thermal cycling), and/or pressure variations, and/or flange rotation problems etc., gaskets with adequate residual stress (stress retention), flexibility and recovery are needed. TEADIT spiral-wound gaskets have been designed to meet these demanding requirements. Spiral-wound gaskets are made of a preformed metallic strip and a soft filler material (PTFE or graphite), wound together under pressure, and optionally with an inner and/or outer guide ring. Kammprofile gaskets TEADIT Kammprofile gaskets offer outstanding flexibility and recovery, assuring seal integrity under pressure and temperature fluctuations, flange rotation, bolt stress relaxation and creep. TEADIT Kammprofile gaskets are used by the chemical and petrochemical industry, as well as in power stations and refineries, on both standard pipework and specialist applications, e.g. shell and tube heat exchangers, etc. Kammprofile gaskets are constructed from a precision serrated metallic core with soft gasket materials flexible graphite or expanded PTFE - bonded to either side.
