Introduction Thank you for purchasing the CareCo Kona Tri-Walker. The Kona Tri-Walker has been designed and manufactured to meet our own high level of specifications and we hope you will be delighted with your purchase. The Kona Tri-Walker has been designed as a lightweight and portable tri-walker to aid the user to walk and offer stability and security to the user. Kona Tri-Walker is designed for use both indoors and outdoors and will take a maximum user weight of 130kg (20 stone). Tri-Walker Dimensions: 67cm (Length) x 58cm (Width) x 83-98cm (Handle height) Folded Dimensions: 25cm (Length) x 58cm (Width) x 83-98cm ( Handle Height) Width between push handles: 26-44cm Weight: 5.5kg Specification Max User Weight: 130kg Intended Use This tri-walker is designed for people with reduced walking distance, or with balance issues or other disabilities which prevent people to have a normal standing posture.
The use of the tri-walker will help people improve their mobility. When you are walking with your tri-walker make sure that you walk fully upright, with the tri-walker near your body. This is for the best support and the safest movements. If you follow this order for movement with your tri-walker you will have the correct body position. Confronting pavements and unequal surfaces: Do not drive into kerbs. Inspect the slope always for risks, such as holes or slippery and uneven surfaces before you walk further. Going up the pavement: When you want to go up a pavement you should do this in the following manner: Push the tri-walker. Tip the tri-walker so the front wheels are lifted. When the front wheels are above the pavement you can let the tri-walker down. Now you can push the tri-walker forwards and place the rear wheels on the pavement. Going down the pavement: Carefully roll the tri-walker forwards. When the front wheels are off the pavement you can let the tri-walker down. Now you can push the tri-walker forwards and place the rear wheels back onto the ground.
Safety Protect your tri-walker by checking it regularly. When a part of your tri-walker is not functioning properly, a dangerous situation could occur. Warning: You must keep your tri-walker in a good state to guarantee safe use. Warnings for Safe Use Avoid using your tri-walker on roads. Use pavements if possible. Do not use your tri-walker in sand, rough area, wet and slippery surfaces or surfaces with little grip. Do not drive into kerbs. Never connect anything to the wheels. Engage the parking brakes when you are in or on a lift and when you want to get off. The maximum weight capacity has been indicated on your tri-walker frame label. Do not push the tri-walker to far in front of you, this can cause falls and incorrect positions. Unauthorised modification and or use of parts not supplied by CareCo will invalidate the warranty and may lead to injury to the user and or damage to the tri-walker. Before using your tri-walker, always check if the brakes are working perfectly. When unfolding the tri-walker check if the folding mechanism is locked into place.
Use the parking brake if you are stopping or parking; Make sure that your tri-walker is adjusted to the correct height to avoid incorrect positions and falls; When folding and unfolding the tri-walker be aware that you do not get stuck with your fingers between moving parts. This may cause injury; Do not use the tri-walker for transporting people or heavy loads; Do not let children play with your tri-walker; Do not use the tri-walker when the brakes are not working; The tri-walker is not intended to be selfpropelled while seated; All wheels must be in contact with the floor at all times during use. This will ensure the tri-walker is properly balanced; The parking brakes must be engaged before using the seat; Do not use your tri-walker when it is damaged or has any malfunction.
Warranty Your CareCo branded product is under warranty to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one year from date of receipt. This warranty expresses our confidence in the workmanship and materials used for our products. In the event of a defect covered by this warranty, CareCo will, at our discretion, replace the tri-walker or supply parts to remedy. This warranty does not cover device failure due to owner misuse or negligence, or due to normal wear and tear. The warranty does not extend to non-durable parts, such as rubber accessories, castors and grips, which are subject to normal wear and tear and require periodic replacement.
