Isofar as it is ecessary for the substative orgaisatio ad utilisatio of the services, BMW collects, stores ad processes vehicle-related data ad data relatig to the customer s use of the services withi the legal stipulatios. This iformatio should be read i cojuctio with the Geeral Terms ad Coditios of Service for CoectedDrive, as updated or ameded from time to time. The latest versio of the Geeral Terms ad Coditios of Service for CoectedDrive are also available at https://www.bmw-coecteddrive.co.za/cdp/release/iteret/servlet/legalote. 2. BMW CoectedDrive basic services. The BMW CoectedDrive basic services TeleServices (SA6AE) ad Itelliget Emergecy Call (SA6AC) have already bee activated at the poit of vehicle trasfer. I the case of BMW i vehicles, the basic services will iclude Remote Services (SA6AP) as a additioal basic service. a. TeleServices (SA6AE). The TeleServices service esures the mobility of the customer. If required or whe triggered or commissioed by the customer, the vehicle s techical data (e.g. service iformatio cocerig wear parts, vehicle-status iformatio such as check-cotrol otificatios, battery-charge status, data for idetifyig ad locatig the vehicle i the evet of a breakdow) shall be trasferred to BMW. I the evet that a service is required, these items of data together with the ame ad the customer e-mail address that the customer has provided to BMW shall be forwarded to the resposible service parter, BMW Mobile Care/BMW O Call or respective service providers for the purposes of makig cotact ad arragig a appoitmet, where they shall be retaied util all procedures have bee properly completed. Beyod this, o data shall be forwarded to third parties. Techical data shall be trasferred from the vehicle to BMW at regular itervals where it shall be evaluated to aid the further developmet of BMW products. This is kow as the Teleservice Report. This data is exclusively techical, vehicle-related data. Other data such as positioig data shall ot be trasferred as part of the Teleservice Report. The TeleService Battery Guard cotiuously moitors the battery-charge status of the vehicle. If the battery-charge status falls below a fixed value, the resposible service parter will be iformed. The resposible service parter will the cotact the customer if ecessary to arrage a service appoitmet. By registerig i the BMW CoectedDrive Customer Portal, the customer ca also be iformed about a critical battery status by text message. b. For BMW i vehicles oly: By registerig i the BMW CoectedDrive Customer Portal, the customer ca also be iformed about a critical battery status by text message, push mail or by meas of illumiated side or parkig lights. Additioal vehicle status iformatio icludes iformatio about the locatio of the vehicle ad iformatio about the chargig status, data about every begi, ed, iterruptio ad errors durig chargig as well as turig o ad off the vehicle is set from the vehicle to BMW ad received by the BMW Car IT GmbH. This data is used for verificatio ad quality assessmet of chargig statios. The Efficiecy service uses vehicle status iformatio, that every time the vehicle is tured off is set from the vehicle to BMW. The Real Time Traffic Iformatio ( RTTI - SA6AM) service is activated for 36 moths after first registratio. The traffic iformatio required for the service is calculated by a variety of meas icludig usig what is kow as Floatig Car Data. I this sese, every CoectedDrive-capable BMW fuctios as a mobile traffic reporter (Floatig Car). The idividual positio ad sesor data of the vehicle calculated durig the trip is trasferred completely aoymously to BMW ad a service provider together with up-to-date time iformatio. 6. Iteret (SA6AR). The Iteret (SA6AR) service rus for a period of 12 moths after the vehicle s first registratio. The customer ca exted the service for a additioal charge beyod the iitial period via the BMW CoectedDrive Customer Portal.

7. Remote Services (SA6AP). The Remote Services (SA6AP) service requires registratio i the BMW CoectedDrive Customer Portal. The service ca help if a customer has accidetally locked themselves out of their vehicle, for example, via the BMW Operator with the remote telephoe fuctio. Alteratively, the customer ca use a smartphoe as a remote cotrol. Usig the My BMW Remote App (available for iphoe i the Apple App Store ad Adroid i Google Play) customers ca fid their BMW amogst other vehicles by simply actuatig the headlight flasher via the app o their smartphoe. For BMW i vehicles, the customer ca also adjust the temperature iside the vehicle before gettig i. 8. Availability of the service. The complete rage of services is oly available for customers whose vehicles are approved i South Africa, ad oly withi South Africa except for Itelliget Emergecy Call which is available i Namibia, Botswaa ad Swazilad.
