(hereafter referred to as BMW ) provides the customer with vehicle-specific iformatio ad support services uder the ame BMW CoectedDrive. Services are provided by meas of a SIM card istalled i the vehicle. Call ad data coectio costs are icluded i the price of the services. Isofar as it is ecessary for the substative orgaisatio ad utilisatio of the services, BMW collects, stores ad processes vehicle-related data ad data relatig to the customer s use of the services withi the legal stipulatios. This iformatio should be read i cojuctio with the Geeral Terms ad Coditios of Service for CoectedDrive which are attached to this documet, as updated or ameded from time to time. The latest versio of the Geeral Terms ad Coditios of Service for CoectedDrive are also available at https://www.bmw-coecteddrive.co.za/cdp/release/iteret/servlet/legalote. 2. BMW CoectedDrive basic services. The BMW CoectedDrive basic services TeleServices (6AE) ad Itelliget Emergecy Call (6AC) have already bee activated at the poit of vehicle trasfer. I the case of BMW i vehicles, the basic services will iclude Remote Services (SA6AP) as a additioal basic service. a. TeleServices (SA6AE). The TeleServices service esures the mobility of the customer. If required or whe triggered or commissioed by the customer, the vehicle s techical data (e.g. service iformatio cocerig wear parts, vehicle status iformatio such as check-cotrol otificatios, battery-charge status, data for idetifyig ad locatig the vehicle i the evet of a breakdow) shall be trasferred to BMW. I the evet that a service is required, these items of data together with the ame ad the email address that the customer has stored withi the BMW CoectedDrive customer portal, will be forwarded via the SIM card permaetly istalled i the vehicle to the resposible Service Parter, BMW Roadside Assistace or appropriate service provider for the purpose of establishig cotact or arragig a appoitmet. This data will be stored by the recipiet util the operatios have bee duly processed. No additioal trasfer of the data to third parties takes place. Techical data shall be trasferred from the vehicle to BMW at regular itervals, where it shall be evaluated to aid the further developmet of BMW products. This is kow as the TeleService Report. This data is exclusively techical, vehicle-related data. Other data such as positioig data shall ot be trasferred as part of the TeleService Report. b. Itelliget Emergecy Call (SA6AC). The vehicle s idetificatio ad locatio is required for the use of the Itelliget Emergecy Call, ad is also ecessary to trasmit the iformatio required to provide assistace to the respective Emergecy Service Cetre. The user s request ad the data required may be trasmitted to service providers commissioed by BMW to provide the service i that case, these items of data shall oly be used to help provide the service ad shall be retaied util all procedures have bee properly completed. Beyod this, o data shall be forwarded to third parties. Use of the Service Itelliget Emergecy Call requires the idetificatio ad localisatio of the vehicle as well as trasmissio of the iformatio ecessary to provide assistace to the resposible Emergecy Call Cotrol Cetre. The user s request as well as the ecessary data will be trasmitted to service providers commissioed by BMW to perform the services ad will be used by this service provider exclusively for providig the respective service ad stored util the operatios have bee duly processed. Additioally, for the purpose of warig other road users, certai completely aoymous eviromet-related iformatio is beig used for traffic iformatio ad therefore forwarded to a service provider. No additioal trasfer of the data to third parties takes place. Beyod this, o data shall be forwarded to third parties. c. BMW Roadside Assistace. The Service BMW Roadside Assistace ca be triggered maually by the customer i the evet of a techical fault. I additio to the curret positio of the vehicle, the vehicle idetificatio umber, colour ad model of the vehicle are also trasferred to the Mobile Service of BMW durig this process. The data is trasmitted to the service provider commissioed by BMW to perform the services, who uses them for purposes of maagig the service provisio ad stores them util the operatios have bee duly processed. Beyod this, o data shall be forwarded to third parties. d. Automatic Map Update (depedig o the vehicle equipmet). The Service Automatic Map Update automatically updates the map data stored i the BMW avigatio system of the home coutry up to four times a year. The service rus for a period of two years from the iitial registratio of the vehicle. The customer ca reew the service at a charge after it has expired Via My BMW CoectedDrive at www.bmw-coecteddrive.co.za. I order to use the service Automatic Map Update the vehicle s idetificatio ad localisatio durig the update process are a prerequisite. e. Aoymous evaluatio of sesor data ad usage iformatio for data quality ehacemets ad product developmet. For the purpose of ehacig service data quality ad product developmet, vehicle sesor data of the surroudig traffic ifrastructure (usually supplemeted with time ad locatio referece iformatio), the vehicle status ad additioal usage iformatio are beig evaluated withi the vehicle, trasferred to BMW ad aoymised immediately. It is impossible to trace the aoymised vehicle sesor data ad usage iformatio back to a idividual customer. This vehicle sesor data icludes (amogst others) iformatio about traffic sigs, traffic lights, costructio sites, local hazards, traffic flow, road characteristics, parkig spots, or vehicle error etries. For example, iformatio about traffic sigs are beig used to ehace map data quality ad to optimise route guidace. Local hazards like fog are beig used to ehace data quality of traffic iformatio ad to avoid accidets. The usage iformatio is collected to create aoymous usage statistics about the system fuctioality. Based o this iformatio BMW is cotiuously ehacig the experiece ad quality of its products ad services. The trasmissio of vehicle sesor data to BMW is activated by default. However, a customer ca freely cofigure the categories of iformatio (e.g., iformatio about the traffic ifrastructure) i the data privacy meu of a vehicle for which the trasmissio to BMW shall be allowed. The trasmissio of vehicle sesor data ca also be deactivated completely by a customer. Additioally, the data privacy meu of a vehicle provides detailed iformatio about what the categories of vehicle sesor data are evaluated ad what iformatio is beig trasferred. The submissio of usage iformatio is deactivated by default, but the user ca activate ad cofigure the submissio of usage iformatio i the data privacy meu of the vehicle. Users who activate the submissio of usage iformatio are helpig BMW to further ehace the quality of its products ad services. 3. CoectedDrive Services (SA6AK). BMW Olie. The CoectedDrive Services (6AK) service is activated for 36 moths after first registratio. The customer ca exted the service for a additioal charge beyod the iitial period via the BMW CoectedDrive Customer Portal. a. BMW Olie. The Service BMW Olie is a mobile Iteret portal that provides various iformatio services such as curret weather coditios ad the latest ews. The customer ca query local iformatio via the olie search fuctio. The addresses foud ca be adopted directly ito the avigatio system as destiatios. I additio, the customer also has access to office fuctios with the Service BMW Olie. BMW aims to provide a advaced ad high-quality rage of iformatio services withi the scope of BMW Olie. To esure that this aim is met, the iformatio services provided withi the scope of BMW Olie udergo regular ispectio. As a cosequece of this ispectio, it is ot oly possible for further iformatio services ad fuctioalities to be added, but also for idividual iformatio services or costituet parts thereof to be removed from the BMW Olie portfolio temporarily or eve permaetly. Use of the Service requires idetificatio of the vehicle ad processig of the iformatio eeded for providig assistace. The data is subsequetly deleted. Whe the Poits of Iterest query is used, the customer s equiry is trasmitted, where appropriate, to the service provider commissioed by BMW to perform the services, where it is used exclusively for providig the respective service ad stored util the operatios have bee duly processed. The data is subsequetly deleted. No additioal trasfer of the data to third parties takes place.

b. Sed to Car. The Service Sed to Car provides the optio of trasmittig complete address data records from the customer s persoal computer directly to the vehicle via My BMW CoectedDrive. This ca take place either before or durig the jourey. Addresses ca be trasferred to the telephoe directory or to the avigatio system as a destiatio. The Service Sed to Car is supplemeted by the Sed to Car fuctios. Addresses ca be foud o Google Maps o the Iteret ad the set directly to the vehicle by the driver. This also applies to the Service HRS Sed to Car, which eables the address data record for a hotel room booked with the Hotel Reservatio Service (HRS) to be trasferred from the driver s ow PC to the vehicle. Both address ad telephoe umber ca the be called up i the vehicle uder the meu commad My Ifo, from where they ca be etered directly ito the avigatio system as a destiatio or to the mobile telephoe.
