CDL CLASS A - 160 HOUR PROGRAM Program Length: Full Time (5-6 Weeks) - Part Time (Varies with Schedule) This class is structured and designed to provide the tools and basics to not only be trained and receive your CDL, but to also make you an attractive and valuable asset as an entry level driver to trucking companies across the nation. Students will receive approximately 100 Hours of Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) / Yard Training. ALL Behind-the-Wheel On-Road Training is taught 1:1 with just the student and instructor. Students will receive approximately 60 Hours of Classroom Training which includes CDL Learner s Permit Preparation. Job Placement for local, regional and over-the-road positions. Sample Course Outline Below Must be 21 years of age Possess a valid NYS Driver s License Pass a Department of Transportation physical in accordance with 391.41 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. or pass the entrance test. CDL CLASS B - 80 HOUR PROGRAM Program Length: Full Time (2-4 Weeks) - Part Time (Varies with Schedule) This class is designed to prepare the student to take the NYS CDL Class B Road Test. Students will receive approximately 65 Hours of Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) / Yard Training. ALL Behind-the-Wheel On-Road Training is taught 1:1 with just the student and instructor. Students will receive approximately 25 Hours of Classroom Training which includes CDL Learner s Permit Preparation. Sample Outline Below Must be 18 years of age for NY Intrastate or 21 years of age for Interstate. Possess a valid NYS Driver s License Pass a Department of Transportation physical in accordance with 391.41 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. or pass the entrance test. Once student obtains NYS CDL Class B Learner s Permit the school will schedule a CDL Class B Road Test with NYS DMV. Student will begin road / yard training 2 weeks prior to the test date. Registration Fee: $ 175.00 (non refundable) Textbook: $ 50.00 Tuition: $ 2,100.00 Total: $ 2,325.00

CDL CLASS A - REFRESHER PROGRAMS Program Length: Full Time (Up to 6 Weeks) This class is designed for individuals who currently possess or recently possessed a CDL Class A License but have not driven for a period of time. Students will receive training on both manual and automatic transmissions in order to refresh their skills for future employment. The Refresher Course(s) will include 40, 80 or 120 Hours of Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) time which will include (if necessary) 1 attempt at a NYS Road Test. BTW time will include private on road instruction with our certified instructors and also practice time in the yard. All Behind-the- Wheel On-Road Training is taught 1:1 with just the student and instructor. Students will receive approximately 40 Hours of Classroom Training which includes CDL Learner s Permit Preparation. CDL CLASS A - ROAD TEST Program Length: 3 Hours This class is designed for students who want to use Canandaigua Driving School s equipment for a CDL Road Test. Students will receive 1 Hour of Prep-Time immediately prior to their Road Test. Students will receive up to 2 Hours of equipment use for their Road Test.
