Air - and dirt - free system water through a single unit 1 100 mm N.B. Weld end 100 mm N.B. Flanged 100 mm N.B. Demountable Weld end The life and the efficiency of a heating or cooling system is greatly dependant on the quality of the system water. Air and dirt problems cause frequent breakdowns and increased customer complaints. Corrosion, cavitation and wear amongst others are consequences of saturated air and dirty system water. Recuring problems and increased maintenance results in unnecessarily high costs and dissatisfied customers. There is a solution... A system totally without air and dirt is possible. There is a unique device whose combined action will remove all gases including dissolved air and dirt down to the smallest particle keeping the system free from air and dirt, permanently. It is maintenance free as it works without strainers or filters. Less maintenance fewer costs. The name: SPIROVENT AIR & DIRT 100 mm N.B. Hi-flow Weld end
THE CORE EXPOSES THE DIFFERENCES The crucial difference SPIROVENT AIR & DIRT 1.The automatic air vent is guaranteed not to leak and cannot be closed. Standard thread for connecting a vent pipe. The unique construction of this combined unit allows it not just to remove free and dissolved air but also dirt particles. The special design of the Spirotube is at the heart of the unique combined action of the Spirovent. Dirt particles of al sizes sink to the bottom of the unit and collect in the dirt chamber, whilst the air bubbles rise and collect in the air chamber. The dirt can be flushed out while the system is in full operation through the drain valve. The air is released via the automatic air vent. 2.Lifting eyes make installation easy. 3. Special constructed air chamber to protect the valve mechanism from dirt. Sufficient volume to take care of pressure fluctuations. 4.Valve for releasing large amounts of air during filling and for skimming off floating scum. 5.Many different connections up to 300 mm are available from stock: weld end and flanged. 6.Dirt collected does not restrict flow. The large collector ensures that flushing is only required now and then. 7. The solid construction guarantees a long life. 8.The unique Spirotube is at the heart of the Spirovent. Designed to separate the smallest microbubble and microscopic dirt particle, yet it offers little resistance to flow. 9.Large capacity collection chamber reduces the need for frequent draining. 10.Drain valve for flushing out the dirt.
Heating System ADVANTAGES FOR THE SPECIFIER, INSTALLER AND END-USER Maximum protection of the installation by conditioning the system water. Increased system efficiency. Reduced risk of breakdown. Greatly reduced commissioning time. Optimum heat transfer. Increased component life. No oxygen based corrosion or pump cavitation. Quiet operation. No by-pass, isolating valves or replacement filters minimum pressure drop, always constant can be flushed while fully operational. Three year guarantee. The Spirotube makes the difference The Spirotube is at the heart of the unit and determines its amazing performance. It s unique construction creates a still area of water inside the Spirovent which allows air bubbles to rise and dirt particles with a higher specific weight than water to sink. Microbubbles are formed Boiler Microbubble Deaerator & Dirt Separator Positioning in the system is important for optimum performance Microbubbles are released at the hottest spot in an installation. This release of gas is based on Henry s Law. This physical law states that the solubility of gases in water reduces with an increase in temperature and/or a decrease in pressure. In simple terms air is released from the water as the temperature increases or the pressure decreases. When determining the best location for installation the microbubble separation is the determining factor. Therefore the Spirovent must be installed at the hottest point in the system. For a heating installation this is in the flow from the boiler. The static head above the point of installation must not exceed 15 metre. In a chilled water circuit the warmest point is usually in the return to the Chilled Water System Microbubble Deaerator & Dirt Separator Maximum 5 metre Maximum 15 metre Absorption of trapped air chiller. The maximum static head above the Spirovent must not exceed 5 metre. For dirt separation the location in the system is not of importance and is always secondary to the deaeration.* *For more detailed technical information about Henry s Law and the deaeration cycle a booklet called Spirotism is available. This only takes a few seconds. The Hi-flow has been specially designed for water circuits with flow rates between 1 and 3 m/s.
