[ E[M]CONOMY] means: Standing up to any challenge. FAMUP MC and MCP Vertical CNC machining centers with and without pallet changer
MC 120-60 and MC 75-50 The EMCO FAMUP MC series. One of the most advanced vertical machining center concepts. Never before milling parts could be produced faster with better accuracy and with a surface finish of high quality. The MC series machines are highly flexible and therefore suitable for almost any machining job. And they are exceedingly efficient. This makes them extremely productive even for heavy machining. The MC machine series is available with three different CNC controls: FANUC 18i, Heidenhain itnc530, SIEMENS 840D. [ Motor spindle] - 12000 rpm - Motor spindle with integrated liquid cooling [ Sliding doors] - Generously dimensioned sliding doors allow easy loading of large workpieces [Control] - Pivoting CNC control panel for optimum handling by the operator [ Machine housing] - Completely covered Photo: MC 120-60 Distributor (Brass) Acceptance workpiece (Steel) Drive connector (Steel)
[Engineering] Highlights Motor spindle 12000 rpm 35 kw (S6) Linear guideway system with patented ball bearing system Feed spindles with steel-ceramic-hybrid nuts to increase thermostability and minimize heat displacement Long-life lubricating system for spindles and guideways Made in the Heart of Europe Quick-change. The MC 75 and MC 120 are equipped with a drum-type magazine with 30 tool stations and tool changing arm. The tool change takes only 1.5 seconds. The tool changer works on the "random principle". The tools are always picked up and dropped off using the shortest travel distance. Chip tray. The MC 75-50 and MC 120-60 machining centers have a standard chip tray. With the right electrical and mechanical preparation this system can also accommodate a chip conveyor. Tool cooling. Cooling water - standard 5 bar through three adjustable nozzles. Internal coolant supply - 15 or 30 bar (optional) Guideway quality. The MC series machining centers are fitted with top-quality 35 mm circulating-ball guideways as standard. Ball-cage technology (caged ball) is used for the guideways. This helps us achieve the best possible guidance quality and extra long lubrication intervals. MC 75-50 The MC machines have a distinctive user-friendly concept: Generously dimensioned doors allow easy loading of large workpieces. The large access to the machine working area makes maintenance and cleaning easy. The control panel swivels and ensures safe and fatigue free operating.
MCP 70-50 and MCP 100-50 The EMCO FAMUP MCP series. CNC vertical machining centers with the latest generation of pallet changers. These machines are comparable to our MC series with regard to quality, performance and precision. But in productivity the MCP series has enormous advantages to offer. The workpiece is changed on the respective pallet parked outside the working area. Changing time is 9 seconds. The MCP machine series is available with three different CNC controls: FANUC 18i, Heidenhain itnc530, SIEMENS 840D. [ Motor spindle] - 12000 rpm - Motor spindle with integrated liquid cooling [ Light barriers] - Light barriers to protect the operator during the pallet changing cycle [Control] - Pivoting CNC control panel for optimum handling by the operator [ Sliding doors] - Generously dimensioned sliding doors enable easy loading of large workpieces [ Machine housing] - Completely covered Photo: MCP 70-50 Injection mold (Aluminium) Connector (Aluminium) Housing (Cast steel)
[Engineering] Highlights Motor spindle 12000 rpm 35 kw (S6) Linear guideway system with patented ball bearing system that reduces friction Feed spindles with steel-ceramic ball races to increase thermostability and minimize heat displacement Long-life lubricating system for spindles and guideways Mechanical pallet clamping by cam mechanism Automatic cleaning of the pallet pick-up device for safe and precise pallet changes Optimum chip removal. Integrated worm gears are used on the MCP 100-50 to remove the chips towards the back of the machine. These worm gears remove even the heaviest chips from the work area, supported by the flushing system. Rotary tables. MCP models can also be fitted with programmable rotary tables or swivel bridges. This enables maximum flexibility in the mass production of components. Pallet changing cycle Pallet clamping 1. Machining on pallet A, pallet B in waiting position for loading and unloading 2. Pallet change from A to B 3. Machining on pallet B, pallet A in waiting position for loading and unloading Mechanical pallet clamping 2200 kg via cam mechanism MCP 100-50 This machine is fitted with a generous loading door with pneumatic opening mechanism. Working and loading areas are clearly seperated from each other. This ensures optimum operator safety. The machine can be loaded from the front via pallets parked either on the right or the left side.
Performance n (rpm) Machine design The Meehanite cast-iron structure is the basis for the extremely robust construction of the MC-MCP machines. This guarantees maximum bending strength and optimum vibration dampening. High metal-cutting forces are easily absorbed by the structure. The result: maximum precision. Optional rotary tables. Infinitely variable/indexed rotary tables are fitted at the customer's request. The movement of the table is CNC controlled and can be interpolated with every machine axis (X, Y, Z). Image: infinitely variable swivel rotary table (fourth and fifth axes), Ø 200 mm. Kessler motor spindle. Our machines are fitted with Kessler motor spindles. The performance data is absolutely conclusive: 12000 rpm with liquid cooling. Top performance 35 kw (S6) with maximum torque 120 Nm. Acceleration: from 0 to 12000 rpm in only 1.2 seconds. Long-life guides. Innovative guides with ball-cage technology are used in EMCO FAMUP machining centers. A patented plastic circulating system prevents the balls from colliding and extends the lubrication intervals by forming natural lubricant reservoirs. Steel-ceramic circulating-ball system. MC and MCP machining centers are fitted with steel and ceramic circulating-ball systems as standard. Alternate use of steel and ceramic balls reduces friction between the balls and maintains a constant operating temperature.
