By the way, the MultiClass 400 Overland is also safe in terms of what the future has to offer. Beginning in early 2013, it will also be available with Euro VI technology, over and above the standard-series Euro V engine. Application that knows no bounds. Its BlueTec EEV aggregates meet the voluntary EEV emissions standard, even without a diesel particle filter, therefore exceeding the Euro V standard for emissions quality. At the same time, foregoing the particle filter results in tangibly lower maintenance and operating costs. Looking ahead to anticipated regulatory requirements, would you like to be optimally prepared for the future today? Then, instead of the Euro V engine, opt for innovative Euro VI technology. You can not only choose your engine from an extensive selection, you also have a choice between different possibilities in terms of your transmission from the automatic through to the high-performance PowerShift transmission. The ZF-RAS trailing axle provides active steering support for more than just added comfort offering, for instance, easier manoeuvring, smaller turning circles and improved straight driving. It also reduces wear and tear on tyres. In terms of seats, you cannot only select from a variety of models and many high-quality seat covers you can also opt for seat features to match your specific requirements. All travel seats feature suspension seat cushions and intuitive operation to ensure maximum comfort and convenience. The ideal guide When the driver becomes a tour guide The comfort that awaits the driver in the MultiClass cockpit is perfectly adapted to suit this special purpose. It supports the driver not only at bus stops but also on long trips. Even on extended excursions, excellent conditions are given for high levels of concentration and relaxed driving. A refrigeration unit and a joystick for shifting are ergonomically integrated in the cockpit with particular practicality, along with many generous storage compartments and trays which keep everything neat and tidy. Its holistic safety concept, whose elements are interlinked across all vehicle components, includes various active and passive systems, for instance, which support the driver in critical situations and minimise the consequences should an accident occur. For instance, with the Electronic Stability Programme (ESP ) which is available on many models. It tangibly reduces the risk of skidding, while the standard-series anti-blocking system (ABS) and optional traction control system (ASR) in the overland MultiClass 400 ensure safe braking and starting. With its proven standard length, it is the ideal vehicle for a wide range of different applications: from excursions to overland runs. The generous S 416 H: This longer sibling of the S 415 H is ideally designed for the requirements of combined usage. Passengers enjoy the interior without wheel housings and its impressive versatility including additional seats. The combination S 416 UL: The S 416 UL succeeds in combining economy and comfort with particular excellence. LED indicators Light emitting diodes: A durable system for a highly visible and intensively bright display. The stable S 417 UL: Thanks to its three axles, it not only offers coach-standard driving comfort but can also take the weight of many additional features. And it is perfect for longer trips with its large baggage hold. Door with low panel (SV) The middle road ideally suited for city and overland operation. LCD indicators Liquid crystal display: Flat, space-saving, durable and with excellent font outlines. It is possible to integrate many other systems in addition to Setra s proven destination indicators. The longest S 419 UL: Despite its considerable dimensions and 69 seats, it features an astonishingly small turning circle of just 23.64 metres. The reason: its front axle with double transverse control arm single wheel suspension that works together perfectly with the ZF-RAS trailing axle.
