(Figure ) 3 Unclip and remove the entire panel surrounding the radio and climate controls including the vents. (Figure ) 4 Remove () 9/3 screws securing radio. (Figure )
95-506 DSH DISSSEMLY 003-006 FORD EXPEDITION 3 4 Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. Remove () 9/3 screws from above instrument cluster. (Figure ) Unclip and remove entire panel surrounding radio, climate controls, and instrument cluster. (Figure ) Remove () 9/3 screws securing radio.

Open center console and remove () push pin from back of power window switch panel. (Figure ) Unclip and remove panel. Remove () 9/3 screws exposed on shifter panel then unclip and move shifter panel off to side. (Figure,C) Remove () 9/3 screws exposed under ashtray assembly. (Figure C) Unclip and remove entire panel surrounding climate controls and radio. Remove () 9/3 screws securing radio. (Figure C) C 4
95-506 DSH DISSSEMLY 003-005 LINCOLN VITOR 3 4 5 Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. Unclip and remove vent panel above radio on top of dashboard. (Figure ) Remove () 9/3 screws exposed under panel removed in step. (Figure ) Unclip and remove panel around radio with door in it. (Figure C) Unclip and remove vents below radio. 95-506 KIT SSEMLY DOULE DIN HED UNIT PROVISION Slide the appropriate bracket into the trim plate aligning the holes in the trim plate to the clips on the bracket. (Figure ) Slide the DDIN radio unit into the trim plate bracket assembly and secure the unit to the kit using the screws supplied with the head unit. (Figure ) 3 Position the rear support bracket with slide grooves facing down and secure to the back of the aftermarket radio with the hardware supplied with aftermarket head unit. (Figure C) C 6
95-506 KIT SSEMLY STCKED ISO DIN HED UNIT PROVISION Slide the appropriate bracket into the trim plate aligning the holes in the trim plate to the clips on the bracket. (Figure ) Slide the stacked ISO DIN units into the trim plate bracket assembly and secure the units to the kit using the screws supplied with the head units. (Figure ) 3 Position the rear support bracket with slide grooves facing down and secure to the back of the aftermarket radio with the hardware supplied with aftermarket head unit. (Figure C) 7
95-506 FINL SSEMLY FINL SSEMLY Locate the factory wiring harness in the dash and make the connection as shown. Metra recomends using the proper mating adapter and making the connections as shown. (Isolate and individually tape off the ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.) Re-connect the negative battery terminal and test the unit for proper operation. 3 Reassemble radio and dash assemblies in reverse order of disassembly. FINL WIRING CONNECTIONS Make wiring connections using the EI color code chart shown below and the instructions included with the head unit. Metra recommends making connections as shown below; Strip, Splice, Solder, Tape. Isolate and individually tape off ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.
