Smarter Drilling for Better Value 6 Maersk Convincer
Every hour spent on a well counts there s a lot to play for Offshore oil and gas is in a race to produce the most competitive barrel of oil. With dozens of different suppliers and multiple interfaces involved, the process of delivering a well safely, on time and within budget has become more complex for operators than it needs to be. Smarter Drilling for Better Value is Maersk Drilling s response to this. It combines innovative technologies with new commercial models to reduce waste and inefficiency across all the activities delivered on a well. We provide solutions that plan, orchestrate and integrate the services involved in a drilling campaign. By improving coordination and simplifying Our joint challenge: 60+ suppliers It can take over 60 suppliers and 6,000 invoices to drill an offshore well interfaces across the supply chain, we aim to reduce overall NPT, increase efficiency and improve safety for our customers. We re also building new types of alliances with our customers that take a longer-term time horizon, align incentives and create value for the partners. Together, we re lowering the cost per barrel and improving the competitiveness of offshore oil and gas. 20 25% NPT Non-productive time (NPT) is often 20 25% across all suppliers on a well. Rig capabilities The Maersk Convincer is a Baker Pacific Class 375 cantilever jack-up designed for year-round operation in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, the Mediterranean, Latin America and West Africa. The rig differentiates itself from conventional jack-ups in several areas, not least on the drill floor, where the highly mechanised equipment ensures increased safety for the crew. The sophisticated drilling equipment also makes the rig qualified for drilling deep and difficult wells, including hightemperature/high-pressure wells. 8 Maersk Convincer

Experience Drilling HPHT offshore Malaysia In November 2015, Maersk Convincer successfully completed four years of operation for Petronas Carigali offshore of Malaysia. The operation included two HPHT wells with downhole temperatures as high as 253 c. During this campaign, Convincer s crew was awarded the highest customer satisfaction score several times. Fuel efficiency Onboard Maersk Convincer, Maersk Drilling is finding new ways to reduce our carbon footprint. Maersk Drilling has developed a fully digitised fuel and energy monitoring product that provides near-real-time information that can be used to learn and optimise fuel-efficient behaviour. Using this product to optimise generator performance has resulted in an up to 20% reduction in monthly fuel consumption, saving customers a significant expense. 10 Maersk Convincer
