Operation Manual Prior to using the pump Using the dipstick check the oil level in the tank. Check the pump, remote control and hydraulic twin line hoses for signs of damage. Connect the remote control unit. Connect the hydraulic hoses to the pump and tool ensuring that the couplings are free of grit or dirt. Ensure that the torque control valve is set to zero by fully rotating it counter-clockwise. Connect the pump to the correct electrical supply. (See unit for details) Operation Start the motor by pressing and releasing the white button on the remote control. The tool is pressurised by holding the white button down and depressurised by releasing it. Pressing the black button on the remote control the motor stops. The motor will be stopped automatically after approximately 1 minute without any operation of the remote control. Torque setting While the motor is running press the white button on the remote control and hold it until the piston is fully advanced. Continue to hold the white button and slowly rotate the torque control valve in a clockwise direction until the required pressure/torque is shown on the pressure gauge. The white button should then be released, allow the piston to fully retract and then operate the unit one more time to check the output pressure/torque is correct. If not repeat. To reduce the pressure/torque turn the torque control valve anti-clockwise. If the desired pressure/torque has been reached rotate the wing nut on the torque control valve clockwise. This will lock the torque control valve in place. To achieve full torque it is important that the wing nut on the torque control valve is rotated fully anti-clockwise against the bottom of torque control valve and that the torque control valve is turned fully clockwise. Tightening and loosening bolts For bolting consult the tool manual. After use Switch off the motor using the black switch on the remote control unit. Turn off the electrical supply. Having ensured that hydraulic pressure has been released, disconnect the hydraulic hoses.
