. kythe Proven Mixproof Rnge SMP-BC Mixproof Vlve Concept SMP-BC is snitry pneumtic set vlve, designed for sfety nd lek detection when two different products flow through only one vlve. The vlve is often used s prt in CIP return lines or other systems not experiencing pressure spikes offering lekge detection for greter sfety. Working principle SMP-BC is remote-controlled by mens of compressed ir. The vlve is normlly closed (NC) vlve. The vlve is fitted with two smll pneumtic normlly open (NO) vlves, detectingvlve nd CIP-vlve. The vlve plug (the upper plug in chnge-over vlve) hs two sels, forming lekge chmber under tmospheric pressure between them. Leking product flows into the lekge chmber nd is dischrged through the detecting vlve. SMP-BC cn be clened by CIP by supplying compressed ir to the ctutor (see fig. 1). During clening of the vlve, flow pttern ginst the closing direction of the vlve plug mkes SMP-BC insensitive to wter hmmer.. Stndrd design SMP-BC is vilble in two versions, s shut-off vlve with one vlve body or s chnge-over vlve with three vlve bodies (sizes DN125-150 only s shut-off vlve). The vlve bodies nd the externl ctutor re clmped together. SMP-BC is fitted with one detecting vlve nd one CIP-vlve. The sels nd the lip sel cn be serviced fter removing the ctutor. It is recommended, due to the vlve size nd weight, to use supporting equipment, hndling nd instlling the vlve. Guidelines re given in the instruction mnul (IM70771).
