Concours Awards Concours Class Awards: - Cars divided into roughly similar classes (varies with number of entries) - Cars in each class evaluated against standards. > or equal 95 points = Premio di Platino (all qualified are eligible for major award) > or equal 90 points = Premio di Oro (one) > or equal 85 points = Premio di Argento (one) Major concours awards: (chief class judges by unanimous agreement) All Platino winners are considered for a major award Subjective: which car best represents the objective of the award
Concours Judging Guidelines International Advisory Council for the Preservation of the Ferrari Automobile (IAC/PFA) Promote the preservation of the Ferrari in the original state. Focus on originality, authenticity and condition secondary emphasis on cosmetics Driven onto field fully assembled Owner, or designated representative, presents the car during judging Judged by 3 judge team: Interior, Exterior, Engine/Chassis Inform the judges of unusual features provide documentation, if necessary At start of judging, each car is assumed to have 100 points. Deductions up to 5 points are taken on each component judged Judges will ask that all components be demonstrated (windows, engine, instruments, doors, lights, etc.) Ferrari Classiche Certification engine and drive train authentic Exception: 1 point deduction if a factory built reproduction
Concours Judging Guidelines (cont.) Top up or removable panel in place. Engine will be run and checked for leaks, smooth idle, instruments, etc. Factory options are considered original, after-market is not. Replacement items must be similar in size, characteristics, and appearance as original (tires, battery, windows, spark plugs, filters, etc.) All originally provided tools, manuals, etc. (good reprints ok) Safety items such as seat belts, fire extinguisher, side mirror, and alarm must be unobtrusive and neat Convertible conversions and unauthorized rebodies are ineligible for judging Options must be as described on the window sticker or invoice. EPA requirements: Factory provided pollution equipment in place w/ working appearance Gray market (e.g. Boxer): same as above w / neat, unobtrusive, and working appearance DoT requirements: Must meet applicable DoT requirements required for the car Gray market (e.g. Boxer): Either: as it rolled out of the factory (European spec) OR: as required to meet U.S. DoT requirements.

Checking the Interior Minimal / no deduction for minor wear areas evidence of use Everything must work: clock, ammeter, instrument lights, windshield washer, interior lights, choke light, backup light, etc. Seats / door panels / carpet must be of similar material as original (leather, vinyl, cloth) and assembled as original (seat pleating, piping, door map pockets) Headliner original style and color Original steering wheel type no after market Windows operate smoothly Tools, manual, and spare must be as originally provided with the car Tools / roll must be of the correct period Trunk correct carpet, interior light, paint, overflow hoses, etc. Trim correct screws (slotted vs. Phillips), bevels, washers, finish, etc. Door gaskets / window seals correct and in good condition Seat belts ok even if not originally fitted if unobtrusive & well installed

Coppa Bella Macchina Objective: recognition that every component and accessory works precisely as delivered from the factory under driving conditions Prerequisites: 95 points or better in Concours (Premio di Platino) and have entered the CBM (also: owner shows car, driver s license, insurance, registration) Procedure: Detailed operational evaluation checklist. Overall Pass or Fail Static portion Road test In case of a problem: One hour to fix the problem Preparation: Check your own car before the evaluation (checklist / manual) Historical failures: No proof of ownership and insurance Windshield wipers & washers don t work (no fluid, incorrectly aimed) No or inoperable trouble light A/C or radio or tape player does not work (no demo tape) Glove box does not lock no key Engine missfire Turn signals don t self cancel Clock does not work Seat belts don t work or warning lights and buzzers Door locks don t function correctly Flashlight does not work Glove box cover does not stay up. Evaluation: by local track evaluators familiar with FCA objectives Safety equipment Attitude, preparedness, knowledge, awareness Skills when approaching the limit Dealing with the unexpected Skill in driving the car Comply with all local track / safety rules Comfortable with handling car at speed vs tunnel vision Suggestions Drive your CGT car on the street gain experience Get track instruction and experience preferably at CGT track Historical problems General lack of familiarity with car (acceleration, braking, placement on track) Smoothly shifting car Passing under yellow Competently do heel and toe where applicable Unfamiliar with track; unfamiliar with car s capabilities at speed Mental awareness
Preservation Judging Purpose: encourage the preservation to as close to original condition as possible without as new restorations Something is always lost when a car is restored. Requirement: Greater than 15 years old Entered in concours for regular class judging; and entered in NPA judging Recognition in two groups: 1980 through 2006 Pre 1980 Judging Separate team of Preservation Judges Select 2 nominees from each age group; Major Awards CCJs make final determination Deductions are taken for: Items that have been replaced and are new Items that are beyond service life and need attention. Additional points can be added to account for age, rarity, complexity, or history Winners: cars that have best retained their originality
