Diesel multiple units

Our mission is to fulfil the current and future expectations of domestic and foreign owners of rolling stock through the construction, modernisation and repair of rolling stock and by ensuring good quality and user satisfaction.

Diesel multiple units DMU We have been manufacturing DMU vehicles since 2001. We deliver them to the Polish and Italian markets and their newest generation was also appreciated by German, Czech, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Kazakh and Russian carriers. In 2012, we signed a prestigious frame agreement with Deutsche Bahn for the delivery of 470 single, two and three-car LINK vehicles. Their delivery will start in 2017. However, already in 2016 PESA deliverd vehicles from Link family to another German operator - NEB. These are the first vehicles delivered for this operator, but most important, the first trains in Polish history that were put into service in Germany as a result of positive approval.our experience made the highest safety level become a standard for us. The diesel multiple units offered by PESA Bydgoszcz SA are one of the first vehicles in the world which fulfil the requirements of 4 collision scenarios, guaranteeing the compliance with the most strict safety standards they are the answer to the demands of the domestic and foreign carriers. Getting to know the needs of the market and even exceeding them by the constructors from the R&D department is confirmed by many other advantages of the vehicles: modern design, next generation environmentally-friendly, economic diesel engine fulfilling the newest requirements in the scope of emission of fumes, use of air cushions, air-conditioning in the passenger compartment and the driver s cabin, monitoring of the interior and modern information systems. Therefore, apart from safety, aesthetics and care for the environment, comfort is another consequently maintained direction of development. PESA s DMU are adapted to servicing of passengers in wheelchairs. The vehicles are adapted to platforms with various heights. The structure and drive of the vehicles ensure full comfort of travel, while maintaining very good drive dynamics with speeds from 120 to even 200 km/h. The modern online diagnostics systems allow running real-time tracking of components during operation thanks to this, the condition of the vehicle can be analysed by the dispatch centre which also has direct access to the vehicle s internal and external monitoring system. Depending on the options and the needs of the client, 1 to 4-unit diesel multiple units are constructed with a single-space interior. Thanks to the modular system, it is possible to modify the layout of the interior, select the drive unit and fulfil other expectations of the clients. PESA s diesel vehicles fulfil the highest standards and are more often chosen by European carriers.

Link is the safest passenger rail vehicle with a diesel engine in the World. It is the very first DMU meeting four collision scenarios, according to Standard EN15527. The fronts of the vehicle includes spacious, comfortable driver s cabins, equipped with ergonomic panels. The Link is equipped with next generation diesel engines fulfilling the requirements in the scope of emission of fumes at the III B level, acc. to the UE directive. The control system allows driving in the multiple traction of up to 3 vehicles. The floor in the entry zone allows servicing of platforms with a height of 140 to 760mm. The vehicle is equipped with a modern passenger information system consisting of display screens and automatic station announcement using a GPS signal. The passenger can use wireless Internet in the WiFi technology on board of the vehicle. The vehicle s integrated control and diagnostics system facilitates efficient maintenance service of the DMU for the carrier. The Link family was designed according to the TSI PRM requirements, ensuring the comfort of travellers with reduced mobility. Access to low platforms is ensured by automatic lifts. The low-floor section includes seats adapted for persons in wheelchairs. This section also includes a toilet compliant with the TSI PRM requirements. In order to facilitate the travel for persons with vision and hearing disorders, the vehicle includes an audio-visual information system and an entry localisation system using a transmitter. Very important information are enclosed in Braille on the vehicles, in easily accessible locations. In January of 2014, PESA has completed deliveries of 31 Link units to the Czech market, and in the year 2016 it had delivered the first train sets to the German carrier NEB, among others, to serve the Berlin-Kostrzyń nad Ordrą line. The first Links in Poland were delivered to the Zachodniopomorskie Province, with subsequent units in service in the Lubuskie, Dolnośląskie and Wielkopolskie Provance. ATR 220 The ATR 220 is a vehicle that has been used since 2008 in Italy and then in Poland. The ATR 220 Tr is a modern and improved version. The confirmation of the innovative development of the family of the vehicles in the currently manufactured generation is, among others, the use of internal control and vehicle localisation systems (DOV6) as well as a substantial decrease in the maintenance costs. This single-space, air-conditioned vehicle includes a diesel engine in the M-T-M layout (M - motor unit, T - trailer unit) and can be driven in the multiple traction of up to three vehicles. It was designed and built for servicing of regional and intraregional passenger traffic. Its structure and equipment ensure large comfort of travel with minimum impact on the environment. The vehicle is equipped with absorbers which absorb the energy during a collision, thus ensuring increased safety to the travellers and personnel. In the multi-function section, the vehicle was adapted to service disabled persons in wheelchairs as well as passengers with large luggage. The entry for disabled persons is ensured by a manual ramp. One of the toilet cabins with an automatic door is also available to them. The vehicle s structure allows reliable operation in the conditions of hot summer or winter temperatures. The DMU is adapted to servicing of platforms with a height of 300 to 760mm. Eighty ATR 220 trains are currently operating in Italy. The first 41 train sets were delivered to private carrier in three regions of Italy in the years 2008-2009. In December 2013, PESA concluded an agreement for next 40 vehicles, with an option of up to 60 more, ATR 220 trains for the national carrier Trenitalia. Deliveries were realized between 2015-2016. In Poland, nineteen trains from this family have been ordered so far. Apart from the aforementioned DMU types, PESA s offer also includes the 214Mb, 218Mc and 218Md type vehicles, offered with ecological IIIB engines with hydro-dynamic or hydro-mechanical gearboxes. The DMU s structure ensures comfort and safety of driving with an operating speed of up to 130 km/h. The ATR 220 is equipped with a modern drive with high-pressure engines fulfilling the newest standards for the emission of fumes, level III B, and a hydro-dynamic gearbox ensuring smoothness and high dynamics of driving. The vehicles are characterised by the newest design and colouring, a friendly interior equipped with, among others, comfortable seats, air-conditioning, dynamic passenger information system, WiFi and monitoring.

611M PESA Bydgoszcz SA is the only company in Europe which commenced the development and construction of a prestigious diesel inspection vehicle for the railway services with a track gauge of 1520 mm. As a result of the execution of this order, a transport mean fulfilling the highest operational standards, providing passengers with the ability to work and travel in highest comfort, was manufactured. The 611M single-unit diesel inspection vehicle is equipped with two motor bogies. Both ends of the vehicle include driver s cabins, allowing travel in both directions. The inspection vehicle is adapted to be serviced by one person with an additional spot for the driver s and inspector s assistant. Each side of the vehicle includes electrically controlled single bounce-sliding doors. Automatic retractable steps allow boarding and getting off the vehicle from/to platforms with various heights. The multiple glazed windows guarantee high level of heat and acoustic insulation. The interior finishing leather upholstery, use of fine species of wood, digital audio-visual systems, satellite connection, air-conditioning systems of the passenger compartment and the driver s cabin, ability to rest after work these are only some of the vehicle s advantages. The inspection vehicle also includes a conference hall a room with multimedia equipment, work zone (office), sleeping section, shower cabin, toilet (with an enclosed system) as well as a fully equipped kitchen section for preparing meals. The experience gained during the manufacturing of inspection vehicles, as well as the used technologies are utilised in the next generation diesel vehicles, designed for suburban and regional carriage, offered and manufactured in PESA Bydgoszcz SA. 730M Taking into consideration the interest of carriers in the low-floor rolling stock, PESA Bydgoszcz SA has designed and offers the 730M three-unit diesel vehicle designed for suburban and regional railway carriage. This transport mean consists of three units with driver s cabins located on both ends of the vehicle. The vehicle s structure allows driving in both directions, also in multiple traction. In the 730M vehicle, comfort is ensured not only by airconditioning, monitoring systems and a comfortable and aesthetic interior, but also by the height of the floor at the entrances at the level of 600 mm. The entry doors can be opened and closed from the driver s cabin, but this can also be done by the passenger using a button. Thanks to special lifts and a designated location for wheelchairs, the train is adapted to people with reduced mobility. It is also possible to carry large-diameter luggage. The 730M vehicles are designed for use on 1520 mm tracks and are compliant with all requirements of the GOST standards. The structure of the vehicle was made with consideration of the standard of four collision scenarios, ensuring the highest safety level.
