KeContact P20 USPs and Features
KeContact P20 Versions The Keba KeContact P20 is available in three versions - Type 2 socket - Type 2 cable - Type 1 cable All versions are based on the same housing, i.e. same dimensions regardless of the version Guarantees the suitable product for your car and your needs Max. investment protection Low stock keeping costs
KeContact P20 Authentication Options RFID identification (ISO 14443) including teaching function for further RFID tags The KeContact P20 stores up to 10 RFID cards/tags that can be taught by using a master RFID card (included). Authentication of users is especially important in open and easily accessible places where unauthorized charging needs to be prevented Exchangeable half cylinder key lock The KeContact P20 can also be ordered with a cylinder lock for authentication purposes. The lock can easily be replaced by any standard half cylinder lock
KeContact P20 Mounting The P20 can easily be mounted by one single person Miscellaneous installation material is included Drilling template for marking the boreholes Electronic parts are within a protected area The accessible connection area (spring-type terminals) of the P20 is completely separated from power electronics parts (no dirt, no dust, no damage of electronics) Cable insert from top or back Low installation costs High product safety
KeContact P20 Mounting Accessories For free-standing installations a floor-mounted column for the KeContact P20 is available The column can be ordered for holding either one or two charging stations
KeContact P20 Installation and Commissioning Simple one man installation Configuration to fit electrical protection on site with dip switches (DSW1/DSW2) Simple commissioning procedure With its integrated commissioning mode, the KeContact P20 can be tested directly on site even without an EV or an EV simulator present. Installation and configuration on site by touch panel communication hub KeContact C10 (to be released in 2013) The C10 communication hub allows WAN OCPP communication for up to two KeContact P20 in one local installation Minimum installation and commissioning time and efforts result in low overall installation costs
KeContact P20 Mechanical features The KeContact P20 is well equipped for indoor as well as outdoor use IP 54 IP 5x Dust protected IP x4 Splashing water from any direction NEMA 3R for either indoor or outdoor use protection against ingress of solid foreign objects protection against ingress of water (rain, sleet, snow) undamaged by the external formation of ice Ambient temperature from -25 C to + 40 C (32A) / +50 C (16A)
KeContact P20 Electrical features (1) 4-segment multicolor LED HMI The multicolor LED HMI primarily shows the various operating states. In case of configuration or other errors, the HMI displays certain error codes in order to identify the problem at first glance On-board current, voltage and energy measuring The KeContact P20 measures electrical values on-board. These values are necessary for communication with the vehicle and can be used for load management systems (KeContact M10). Moreover, this feature prevents from damages due to excess voltage/current Accurateness: Current: 0.5% deviation from measured value = 0.1% of nominal value Power/Energy: 1.5% deviation from measured value = 0.1% of nominal value Voltage: 1% Example: Error No.7 Configuration error Multirating device The integrated multirating device automatically detects the max. allowed current of the attached cable. Even with a KeContect P20 configured for 32A, you can use any available cable without worrying about max. current
KeContact P20 Electrical features (2) Integrated CCID (Charging Circuit Interrupt Device) for UL versions (North America) Optional integrated RCD (Residual Current Device) in Europe Switch contact out The switch contact is a potential-free relay contact and can be used for activating a fan in the garage. This can be necessary with some vehicles. Enable input in The enable input is designed for use with a potential-free contact. Using the enable input, it is possible to control the charging station using external components (e.g. external key switches, ripple control receiver of the energy supplier, house control, time switches, combination lock, photovoltaic system etc.)
KeContact P20 Communication and Charging (1) The KeContact P20 uses standard PWM Mode 3 charging as described in ISO 61851 and SAE J- 1772 With its optional Homeplug GreenPhy PLC (Power Line Communication) modem, the KeContact P20 communicates with the vehicle using the ISO 15118 protocol. The P20 is well equipped for every IP-based communication that is yet to come
KeContact P20 Communication and Charging (2) The KeContact P20 features two Ethernet interfaces for communication purposes X3 RJ45 jack for firmware updates and debugging X4 LSA+ IDC (Isolation displacement connectors) for permanent installation
KeContact P20 Safety Automatic reduction of PWM parameter in case max. temperature is increased The automatic PWM amperage adjustment results in high uptime. This feature is especially important if the wallbox is exposed to direct sunlight. It prevents from early ageing of contacts and increases the overall lifetime of components Plastic extrusion molded housing ensures protective insulation against electric shocks Plastic housing withstands ball impact test at -35 C ambient temperature VDE and UL certificate
KeContact P20 Compatibility Regular tests with the EVs availiable ensure max. compatibility with the KeContact P20 The firmware update program guarantees trouble-free charging for the forthcoming years and enhances investment protection (retrievable soon at www.kecontact.com)
KeContact P20 Customizing Brand labeling possible (depending on quantities) special colors for design hood individual print and marking Branded product benefits from the Keba product in serial production and its forthcoming developments Simple plug & charge operation is understood and appreciated by end customers
KeContact P20 Investment Protection - Modular housing construction The KeContact P20 is well prepared for any future developments that are yet to come - Real time clock for future functions such as resuming of charging sessions after power blackouts or time-controlled charging profiles - 2 optional push buttons for future functions - Keba develops soft- and hardware inhouse Quick adaptions to any necessary changes in firmware or housing construction possible at any time
