TEDDERS
The Hook Tine Advantage Haying in high moisture climates? With above normal rainfall? Or, just trying to close the gap between cutting and baling to shorten drying times and reduce nutritional losses in your downed hay and forage? Check out the Vermeer TE Series Tedders with their unique, patented hook tine design. Why hook tine tedders? TE Series hook tine tedders offer three important benefits high-performance tedding action, high-volume output and outstanding durability. Because of the novel configuration and the special angle of the hook tine, Vermeer TE Series Tedders pick up and spread larger amounts of crop than conventional tedders with straight tines and they create an unprecedented bottoms-up tedding action that rotates the hay for better dry down consistency. And it s all handled by a tine that s considerably more flexible and specially positioned to handle higher speeds and output with minimal tine damage. Watch Vermeer products work at vermeer.com. PG. 2 I Hook Tine Advantage Above: Clean crop pick up. Excellent ground-contouring. Vermeer hook tines are better able to adapt and follow the ground because they operate in a trailed position, picking up and turning the crop short or long while avoiding crop contamination from excessive digging. This unique design allows to you more effectively hit the low spots between rotors. 1 Tedding along fencerows and field edges? No problem. With a simple adjustment clip, you can easily set the tines in two different positions the outer setting for spreading and tedding, or the inner setting, which feeds crop directly behind the machine (not to the sides) for work alongside fencerows, hedges and ditches. 2 Hook tines are built to last and the ONLY ones in the field today with a 3-year limited warranty! The specially coiled hook tine design is more flexible, and because it rotates at a trailed angle, tine breakage is minimized.
1 Inner setting Outter setting 2 3 HOOK TINE WARRANTY 3 The hook gives you better grip of the crop. It allows you to decrease RPMs and minimize leaf loss and still disperse the crop more evenly for more consistent dry down. Even the wet, lumpy hay is gently separated. The shorter leg of the double tine picks up drier crop material off the surface; the longer leg picks up the lower and wetter material. This allows you to flip wet material on top instead of blending it together. It s simply the best way to maintain excellent forage quality.
TE490 TE Series Tedders Up to 49' (14.9 m) in one pass! The giant TE490 is designed for big acres, big operators and maximum efficiency. That means fewer passes through the field, lower fuel costs, more acres. And you re able to do it in less time with a high-production 12-rotor workhorse that handles like other tedders half its size. Cushion cylinders reduce shocks and impacts at the end of the hydraulic stroke. And it s easy to transport from field to field. Unique carted framework and the front-folding rotors along the drawbar ensure fast folding/unfolding and stable transport with a low transport height and center of gravity. 1 Large diameter rotors allow you to operate with lower revolution speeds. This not only helps prevent crop loss, but it also allows longer grasses and heavier lumps to separate and fan out more evenly. Rotor wheels float independently to maintain consistent tedding angles/heights. 2 Curved wheel supports and an anti-wrap plate combine to prevent downed crop material from wrapping around wheels. This minimizes buildup and damage to wheels and bearings caused by tightly wrapped crops. 3 Easily adjust rotor angle in seconds without using any tools. This allows you to maximize the sweeping arc on the ground and precisely handle different crops and field conditions. Heavy, wet swaths require a steeper angle; shorter and drier crops, a lower angle. PG 4 I TE490
1 2 3 4 5 4 Great stability and flex. Rugged double frame construction provides the stability. Radial pin clutches provide protection. Rotors hydraulically lift and automatically sequence when folding for transport. 5 Go from transport to operating position in 45 seconds! Unfold the 49' (14.9 m) tedder from its transport width of 9.8' (3.0 m) without needing a monitor. Just two remotes needed to unfold the tedder. Note how the entire rotor frame is placed in a horizontal position and supported during transport.
TE330/TE250/TE170 TE Series Tedders The exclusive hook tine is just one of several major advantages. Another one is the way TE series tedders handle! Wide-angle universal joints at frame pivot points allow flex along the entire driveline. Hydraulic lift, fold and unfold make it simple and easy to handle and help reduce transport widths to less than 10' (3 m) wide. A tight turning radius, combined with constant velocity U-joints, provides excellent maneuverability for smooth, easy handling. And, you have three additional models to choose from: TE330 with eight rotors 33.5' (10.2 m) tedding widths. TE250 with six rotors 25' (7.6 m) tedding widths. TE170 with four rotors 17' (5.2 m) tedding widths. PG. 6 I TE330/TE250/TE170 TE Series
1 2 1 The 4-rotor TE170 is ideal for smaller operations. During operation, its low center of gravity provides excellent stability, particularly on slopes. Vertical hydraulic fold makes it quick and easy to transport. 2 The 6-rotor TE250 with up to 25' (7.6 m) of tedding action is fast, simple, compact and ideal for midsize operations. During transport, the front-folding rotor frame is positioned horizontally along the drawbar, locked and supported. Dedicated transport tires and cart make it easy and stable for towing.
Rebel TR90 Tedder/Rake Combo Ideal for smaller operations, the Rebel TR90 tedder/rake combo is easy to operate and set up. A simple adjustment clip lets you reposition the hook tines and switch from spreading and tedding (outer position) to windrowing (inner position) in minutes. Spreading and tedding angles/height are easily adjusted by selecting any one of five settings on the rotor wheels and infinitely adjusting the top link. 1 Choose your combination Spreading swaths (1), tedding (2), spreading windrows (3), windrowing (4), shifting swaths or windrows across (5). 1 Adjustable windrowing cage pivots behind the machine to build clean, uniform, fluffy windrows to size. Spring steel tines on cages feature nylon tips to smooth out the crop. Above: 3-point mounting provides quick, tight turns on headlands. For transport, the Rebel TR90 simply pivots and locks in center position, then raises with the 3-point hitch. PG. 8 I Rebel TR90
Vermeer TD Series Fast. Reliable. Proven. Value-Priced. Choose the compact, 10.3' (3.1 m), rigid TD120 with two rotors for smooth, gentle handling at maximum ground speeds even when handling heavy matted-down windrows. Or, ted up to 16.7' (5.1 m) TD120 with the four-rotor, hydraulic-folding TD200. Both units are simple to operate and easy to maintain. No tools are required to fine-tune height adjustments. The adjustable crank does it easily and precisely in seconds. Above: The TD200 s articulated folding frame lets you hug ground contour to thoroughly clean up matted-down hay. Hydraulic fold keeps transport widths manageable when going from field to field. TD Series I PG. 9
