IAP Boxair M1002-3 - GENERAL INFORMATION This instruction manual contains Boxair M2 mobile cassette filter unit use and maintenance information. Boxair M2 user should become acquainted with contents of this publication to learn about unit construction, principles of operation and means of its safe use. Manufacturer is not responsible for any consequences arising from the use of the unit against its intended purpose. Manufacturer reserves the right to make changes to improve performance and operational qualities of the product in the future without prior notice. Store in dry and airy rooms. Place in a position ready for operation. Protect against possibility of shifting during transport. PRODUCT APPLICATION Boxair M2 mobile cassette filter unit is for sporadic and occasional use where there is no need of constant exhaust operation and can be operated in the technical areas intended for permanent human habitation. Boxair M2 is designed for extraction and purification of air from the dry dust in the processes of welding. Manufacturer does not recommend use of the unit for: arc-air gouging aluminum laser cutting oil mist and heavy oil mist in welding fume extraction of aggressive fumes and gases (e.g. from acids, from alkaline, from soldering paste containing lithium) extraction of hot gases (more than 45 C/113 F continuously) grinding aluminum and magnesium thermal spraying extraction of cement, saw dust, wood dust etc. sucking cigarettes, oiled tissues and other burning particles or objects. explosive enviroments or explosive substances/gases Manufacturer does not recommend use of the unit for: air purification from dust containing asbestos, cadmium, beryllium air purification from wet dust Due to the extremely harmful to the health fine dust, located inside the filter and on filter cartridges, all work associated with the filter replacement should be done using respiratory protective equipment. EQUIPMENT ARRIVAL Upon arrival the user needs to thoroughly inspect the equipment and make sure there was no damage caused by the shipping carrier. If there is damage, the user needs to immediately contact their dealer. The user should make sure that the items listed below were included with the device set: User s manual, metal mesh filter, main cassette filter. In the case of lack of any listed items, please contact the dealer. If the package or device are damaged upon delivery the user needs to immediately contact the dealer and draw up a protocol with the representative of the shipping company (many shipping companies consider acceptance of the shipment to be sufficient to avoid liability for damage caused during shipping).

- 6 - IAP Boxair M1002 FILTER CHANGE Before replacing the filters stop the unit and disconnect it from the power source. Light on the filter condition indicator signals the need to replace it. Recommended time of work for filter cassette: max 500 h. A. Prefilter G2 B. Cassette filter F9 Open the door of filter chamber. To replace the metal prefilter slide it out. To replace the compact filter pull out of the chamber. START-UP 1. Check the delivery for completeness. 2. Mount self-supporting arm or connect to inlet ducting before starting the unit. 3. Check condition of all connections. 4. Connect the device to the electrical network. 5. Use ON/OFF button to run the system. 6. Set the air flow using the built-in damper. All electrical work must be carried out by qualified personnel.
IAP Boxair M1002-7 - MAINTENANCE DAILY: overall control for connection tightness, including the state of chamber door seals and flexible hoses visual control of the filter wear (how to access the filter cartridge - page 6) MONTHLY: visual inspection for signs of corrosion electrical system and wire insulation control YEARLY: filter cassette replacement inspection for corrosion or any type of mechanical perforation of the filter box inspection of electrical wiring TROUBLESHOOTING SYMPTOMS POSSIBLE REASONS PROCEDURE Low air volume. Dust coming out of the filter. Can not start the device. Filter cartridge is clogged. Plugged suction channel Wrong or mechanically damaged seal or filter cassette. No power supply. Take out filter cassette and clean it. If this proves ineffective replace with a new one. Check the efficiency of channels and if necessary clean them. Properly tighten the filter gasket. Replace filter cassette with a new one. Check the connection of the device, check the power supply.
