SS00 CUP HEAD BOLT M Ø0 5 0 0 70 RH & LH REMOVE UNDERTRAY 65 0 70 0 00 95 Ø0mm Ø0 55 Diagram #. Remove the undertray and cut it as shown. Install the Cup Head Bolt M into the LH & RH, as shown. IMPORTANT: Ensure RH Angle Ext is fitted to RHS of vehicle & LH Angle Ext to the LHS of vehicle. FRONT OF VEHICLE REMOVE RUBBER PLUG BOLT TAB FIT BOLT TAB M SPRING M HEX NUT Diagram #. Remove front rubber plug & fit one () bolt tab as shown. Fit angle ext to front of the vehicle with one () M hex nut, M flat washer & M spring washer as shown above. SS00 MARK THE TWO () HOLE POSITIONS Diagram #5 5. Using a non permanent marker, mark the two () hole positions as shown for both sides of the vehicle. See Dia #5. Diagram #6 REMOVE 6. Remove bars from both sides of the vehicle. See Dia #6. Ø.5mm Ø0mm 5mm RUST INHIBITOR Diagram #7 7. Centrepunch the four () previously marked hole positions. Drill four () pilot holes (Ø.5mm), then re-drill to Ø0mm. Apply rust inhibitor to all drilled holes. See Dia #7. page of 0/0/0

Fit one () cup head bolt Mx65mm through the front hole in the angle extrusion, position one () bracket mount to the front of the vehicle & secure loosely with one () M flat washer, M0 spring washer & M hex nut. Install one () spacer - Ø9x0mm & secure loosely with one () screw Mx50mm, M flat washer & M spring washer. Finger tighten screw Mx50mm & M hex nut. Repeat step for the other side of the vehicle. Install one () spacer - Ø9x50mm & secure loosely with one () screw Mx0mm, M flat washer & M spring washer. Finger tighten screw Mx0mm & M hex nut. Repeat step for the other side of the vehicle. SS00 M CUPHEAD RUBBER SCREW TREAD SLIDE TAB Fit Rubber Tread to Step & Trim leaving 5mm of Tread outside of step both ends. SLIDE TAB ASSEMBLY Orient Slide Tabs Before Fitting to Side Step. ALUMINIUM STEP ALUMINIUM STEP x ( Per Step) SLIDE TABS SLIDE TABS x (Per Step) Diagram #. Insert the eight () M cuphead screws into the eight () slide tabs as shown. Fit Rubber Tread to Side Step Groove and trim, repeat process for all Grooves on both steps. Orient Slide Tabs as shown & slide four () slide tab assemblies into the back of each aluminium step as shown. See Dia #. Important : Ensure both Side steps are pre-assembled before proceeding to next step. REMOVE TAPE LINER FIT FRONT CONNECTOR TO SIDE STEP SCPU000 RHFC FRONT CONNECTOR RHS (RHFC) ATTACH SMALL CHRISTMAS TREE CLIPS Diagram #5 5. Remove tape liner. Fit front connector to side step and align the pre-drilled holes. Fit three () small christmas tree clips into the holes. See Dia #5. REMOVE FIT REAR CONNECTOR TAPE LINER TO SIDE STEP SCPU000 RHRC REAR CONNECTOR RHS (RHRC) ATTACH SMALL CHRISTMAS TREE CLIPS Diagram #6 6. Remove tape liner. Fit rear connector to side step and align the pre-drilled holes. Fit three () small christmas tree clips into the holes. See Dia #6. SS00 RHS SHOWN Diagram #7 ATTACH ALUMINIUM STEP. Clean the area on the vehicle that the tape will come into contact with using an alcohol wipe as shown and wipe away residue with a dry, clean cloth. Prime areas the tape will contact the vehicle using a small amount of the primer stick from the Flare Kit. Position the aluminium step and connectors onto the vehicle, inserting the slide tab assemblies into the mounting brackets and align the connectors to the vehicle as shown. See Dia #7. Loosely fasten the aluminium step assy to the front & rear mounting brackets using four () M flat washers, M spring washers and M nuts as shown. Do not tighten at this stage. See Dia #. SS00 mm mm REAR - RHS ENSURE GAP IS EVEN FOR LENGTH OF STEP FRONT - RHS NO. COMPONENT TORQUE Screw Mx0mm 0Nm Screw Mx50mm 5Nm 7 5 & 5, 6, 7 & M Hex Nut Mx0mm Cup Head Bolt 0Nm 0Nm FRONT WHEEL 6 IMPORTANT Please read the full instruction before starting to tighten & lock the Step Assembly into position. Follow the Numbers as Illustrated to prevent any twist or movement while tightening all Bolts & Nuts. Apply a Torque to all Bolts and Nuts detailed in this step. Diagram #9 9. () person is required to support & adjust the step, & () person will be required to tighten all the hardware as specified below. First - Adjust the step In & Out from the vehicle ensuring connectors fit up to the vehicle. Tighten the inboard bolt on the rear bracket to 0Nm, then the inboard bolt on the front bracket to 5Nm. Check step is still aligned to vehicle. Tighten nut on rear bracket then the nut on the front bracket to Nm as shown. Second - Adjust the step Up & Down on the vehicle so an even gap exist between the vehicle & the step for the entire length of the vehicle and the connectors fit up to the vehicle. Tighten the nut at the rear of the vehicle closest to the rear wheel to 0Nm, followed by the Nut at the front of the vehicle closest to the front wheel to 0Nm as shown. Check step is still aligned to vehicle. Tighten the final nut on the rear bracket to 0Nm, followed by the remaining nut on the front bracket to 0 Nm as shown above. See Dia #9. IMPORTANT: Repeat step 9 for LHS of the vehicle. ATTACH LARGE CHRISTMAS TREE CLIP APPLY FIRM PRESSURE Diagram #0 0. Fit one () large christmas tree clip to secure front connector to the vehicle as shown. Apply firm pressure to tape area to ensure maximum adhesion. See Dia #0. page 9 of 0/0/0
SS00 DRILL Ø6MM HOLE Ø6mm APPLY FIRM PRESSURE FIT LARGE CHRISTMAS TREE CLIP Diagram #. Apply firm pressure to tape area on rear connector to ensure maximum adhesion. Drill a Ø6mm hole in the plastic wheel arch through the existing hole in the rear connector. Fit one () large christmas tree clip to secure rear connector to the vehicle as shown. See Dia #. SUU FORESTER - SIDE STEPS DIESEL VERSION CARE AND USE INSTRUCTIONS SS00 Dear Customer, Congratulations on the purchase of your EGR Accessory Product. Below are some important requirements on maintaining the condition of Aluminum side steps and connector trim mouldings installed to your vehicle. Please read them carefully to ensure they remain in excellent condition. Clean all connector trim mouldings with a sponge and warm soapy water only. Use only cleaners that are labeled safe for use on plastics. Do not apply any polish or waxes to the side steps and connector trim mouldings, as this may affect the condition. Use standard car shampoo to clean the vehicle with a clean soft sponge/cloth. Take care when using a high powered pressure washer, as this may also affect the accessory fixing and condition. Do not spray directly at the connector trim mouldings. Maximum load of 50kg for each side. All installation hardware and fasteners must be checked regularly for tightness. The side steps are designed to aid access into your vehicle and should not be used for any other purpose. The side steps and connector trim mouldings have been designed and engineered to the highest automotive specifications however on-going maintenance and care of these accessories is the responsibility of the vehicle owner.
