About Philadelphia Solar (PS) is a specialized solar company that was 2 established in 2007 with a buildup area of 14,200 m and a startup capital of 25 million USD. As a Photovoltaic Panel and Mounting Structure Manufacturer PS is the first MEA-based company to manufacture, develop, design, construct, own and operate utility-scale, commercial and industrial Photovoltaic plants. Established in 2007 with 10 MW as an annual capacity, 11 years later our PV panels annual production capacity has Expanded 22 times to reach 220 MW in May 2018, accompanied with a steel structure Production line with 300 MW annual capacity. Today PS employs more than 350 employees in Jordan. Philadelphia Solar Exports approached more than 43 countries worldwide and with total revenue above 100 Million USD up to the end 2018.

Developer / Investor 50 MW (66 MW DC) Project Jordan, Al Muhamadeyeh PPA signing on Jan 2018. Expected financial close on Oct 2018. Shareholders: Philadelphia Solar (Lead developer) and AMEA Jordan. Expected operation on Q2-2020. Financer: FMO and DEG.

Recent Success Milestones Philadelphia Solar Company and 22 other companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources which were qualified to invest in the project of storage of electrical energy with a capacity of 30 MW (60 MWh) and with an investment cost of about 40 million dollars, this project considered as the first of its kind in the region and the first phase of a major power storage project. Philadelphia Solar company signed the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the 68 MW DC PV station (50 MW AC) with the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) which will be installed in the south of Jordan, this PV station will include more than %50 of local components using high efficiency Jordanian Philadelphia Solar panels, and the power plan for the station is expected to generate 150 GWh annually, Philadelphia Solar will design the system with Jordanian manpower, and all procedures of the PV station was approved from the MEMR s energy consultant. Philadelphia Solar company signed the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Irbid District Electricity Company for the 11 MWp expansion of Al Badiya Power Generation (currently 12 MWp) that is considered the largest power storage plant in the Middle East and the region, this expansion will consist of approximately 34,350 polycrystalline panels (320 Wp each), Philadelphia Solar made a state-of-the-art single axis tracking system (Model: PS1-P-Tracker), and a 12 MWh Lithium Ion energy storage systems, the 11 MWp power plant s purpose is to peak shave and power shift to increase the stability of the grid and support the grid at peak load hours, additionally it will also enhance the availability of energy during the day time hours. Philadelphia Power (subsidiary of Philadelphia Solar) and the Norwegian company Scatec Solar signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the 50 MW Power Plant in Egypt, this project is part of the FiT programme with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company and the Renewable Energy Authority.
