Sample of the screen 3.2 Functions After select the motorcycle model already, Press the button no.2 MODE, the diagnostic tool will be as following; 1. 1 VIEW PARAMETER 2. RESET CODE DTC 3. VIEW DTC 4. BACK Diagnostic Tool7
3.2.1 VIEW PARAMETER: This function indicates the status data. It shows the working of engine in real time, the screen will show into 3 parts which depends on each of the motorcycle model. - Show the Input Signal which are; REV, ECT, EOT, IAT, MAP, TP, BAT, o2, VS, BAS, GG, SS, STS, SSW - Show the Output Control which are; INJ, ADV, FP, FID, IACV, o2 Heater, PAIR, EVAP, MIL - Show the data inside the ECU(internal ECM); IAC, SCS, MOD, STF, LTF Sample Diagnostic Tool8

FID MIL Fast Idle Solenoid, ON=working OFF= not working Malfunction Indicator Lamp shows the DTC when working 3.2.2 RESET CODEDTC is the function to clear the codes as the Error Code in the ECM that found in the motorcycle. 1.Choose the Reset Cade DTC Function 2.The screen will show Clear Error (Y) and (N) Press switch #1 (Down) for YES in orderr to clear the Error Code Press switch #3 (UP) for No in order to not clear the code Prees swith #2(MODE) after Clear Error (Y)/Clear Error (N) them the system will proced, if Yes < the system will clean the code and show Claning untill Finish Shoe Cleaning when the system is cleaning. Diagnostic Tool10 Show Finish when the code is already cleared.
Diagnostic Tool11 3.2.3 VIEW DTC is the function that record the ERROR CODE, the data will be recorded.

4. The connecting process of the Diagnostic tool 1. Turn the start key to the position OFF 2. Take off the fairing/the cover at the DLC: Data Link Connector 3. Take off the DLC plug cover 4. Connect the Diagnostic tool to the DLC plug 5. Turn the start key to the position ON, then the monitor screen will show as follow; Connecting - A beep sound means the connection between the Diagnostic tool and the ECM is connected successfully - 2 beep sound means the connection between the Diagnostic tool and the ECM is NOT connected successfully 6. After connected, the user must select the model of the motorcycle that need to be diagnosed Sample Honda WAVE 125 i, Step3 The Process to diagnose with the Diagnostic tool 1. Take off the cover 2. Connect with the Diagnostic tool(doctor API) 3. Turn the key to the position ON, then select the model by scroll DOWN or UP, and see the symbol ( >), it will show; Diagnostic Tool15
4. It will show W110-125:S1 - then press Mode(no.2) 5. Select the function VIEW PARAMETER, press MODE, the user will see the data of engine status as picture; page 1 page 2 page 3 page 4 The picture shows the parameter W125 Step 3 6. To exit this function, press DOWN to the last page (page 4), then the user press MODE, the system will exit from VIEW PARAMETER. 7. The Diagnostic tool will inform the ERROR CODE in case of finding the problem in the engine, it will suddenly show only 1 Code and it means this can be more than one problem so, the user must see all the problem in VIEW DTC. 8. See all engine problems in VIEW DTC The picture show the ERROR CODE (8-1*TP Sensor) the ECM; it will show all in this screen. 9. When the user found and fixed all the problem, select the RESET CODE DTC to reset those ERROR CODE from CLEAR ERROR (N) and CLEAR ERROR(Y), if the user doesn t want to clear, press UP for (N) but, to clear, press DOWN for (Y) The picture shows the RESET CODE 10. After press (Y) or (N), press the no. 2 MODE to cleaning the ERROR CODE; it will show Cleaning and Finish (Cleaning.) (Finish) The picture shows the cleaning process Diagnostic Tool17
The cleaning process will start when the beep sound(buzzer) turn on 2 times, the monitor will shows Cleaning and after it done, it will be again the beep 2 times and shows Finish 5. Function Boot loader This function is to be used for upgrade the new firmware. When there are new models from the motorcycle maker or the maker makes improve the new system, the upgrade process can be made by wireless (Bluetooth) Diagnostic Tool18
