Intelligent motion control with decentralized solutions The SIMODRIVE POSMO series opens up a whole new range of possibilities in the area of machine conception. With SIMODRIVE POSMO, the entire drive system is moved to a decentralized location in or on the machine. You can also design your drive layout as a mixed arrangement of central and decentralized units. This is made possible by the different versions of this system: SIMODRIVE POSMO A and SIMODRIVE POSMO SI with servoconverter and servomotor as a compact unit that can be integrated totally within the machine. More standardization SIMODRIVE POSMO units help you to create whole machines or parts of installations in the form of modules which are, to a large extent, autonomous. On-site commissioning times are shortened considerably, given that, in many cases, these modules can be commissioned in advance. With this brake and the remanent actual-value memory (actual value stored in the FEPROM), the SIMODRIVE POSMO A behaves similarly to an absolute position encoder. This means that, once it has obtained a reference, it maintains its position and continues to be referenced even after being switched on again. Diverse reduction ratios can be selected from a gear building block, consisting of planetary gearing and worm gearing. But even without gearing, the SIMODRIVE POSMO A can cope with simple handling tasks.
