1. Euro-zone: Belgium, Germany, Greece (since January 2001), Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal and Finland. 2. The index of producer prices shows (in the national currency of the country concerned) changes in the ex-works sale prices of all products sold on the domestic markets of the various countries, excluding imports. Euro-zone and EU15 indices refer to overall weighted price changes. The figures are not adjusted. Missing data for the euro-zone and the EU15 are estimated. 3. Data of previous months have been revised compared to those issued in the News Release 114/2003 of 2 October 2003. The figures published in this News Release for August 2003 were the following: +0.2% in both the euro-zone and the EU15 for the monthly changes, and +1.4% in the euro-zone and +1.5% in the EU15 for the yearly changes. 4. The new national short term statistics regulation entered into force in April 2003. Statistics Austria is not in a position to supply data for the reporting month March 2003 onwards. Statistics Austria will deliver the data for 2003 as soon as possible. 5. Belgium, Denmark, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, Austria, Portugal, Sweden and the United Kingdom are sending data with base year 2000. The series of the other Member States are rescaled to 2000=100 in order to allow comparison. Eurostat has changed to base year 2000.
