C-MAX (T3) so simple, so efficient
The new McCormick C-Max (T3) tractor range, equipped with either cab or platform, adds a new level of economic functionality to the McCormick line. With power ranging between 74 and 98 hp, these new four models place themselves just one step below the CX series, offering all the features required for this kind of tractors, but with a simpler, economy driven design in comparison to the McCormick CX Series. Powered by the new, reliable Perkins 1104D (Tier 3) Series engines to match the rugged tractor design, the McCormick C-Max range combines excellent performance with maximum reliability. The key features of the range include a mechanical or electronicallycontrolled transmission with reverse power shuttle, powerful hydraulics for operating a mechanical hitch with a high lift capacity and 100% differential locks. With either a platform or highvisibility cab, a fully adjustable sprung seat, ergonomically-arranged controls and easy-to-read analog instruments, the C-Max range allows the operator to work with maximum comfort.
Comfort and ergonomy a winning combination
A ENGINE The new Perkins 1104D aspirated and turbocharged (Tier 3) engines, deliver 74-83 - 92.5 and 98.6 HP (ISO). They offer high torque backup, improved fuel efficiency, low noise and reduced emissions. The forward tilting hood provides easy access to the engine for routine service and maintenance (fig. A). FRONT AXLE The four-wheel drive front axle with 55 steering angle features oil-immersed disc brakes which, combined with the action of the rear brakes, ensure effective integral braking on all four wheels (fig. B). B C D TRANSMISSION The POWER FOUR transmission (HI-LO splitter with electrohydraulic engagement for +20% increased) allows doubling the number of gears of the base transmission using the green pushbutton integrated in the gear lever (fig. C). POWER FOUR + SPEED FOUR (base transmission) + CREEPER + REVERSE POWER for a total of 32FWD+ 16REV speeds. The DE-CLUTCH CONTROL (orange pushbutton integrated in the gear lever) and the REVERSE POWER ( hydraulic reverse shuttle with lever integrated in the steering column) allow clutch-less engagement and reversal of all gears. (fig. C-D). E DASHBOARD The stylish dashboard features analog instruments allowing simple and fast reading of all the information necessary for proper use of the tractor and implements (fig. E).
POWER LIFT The mechanical power lift provides a maximum total flow rate of 82 litres/min. The mechanical power lift, equipped with a cat. 2 three-point linkage provides position, draft, intermix and floating control functions while ensuring a maximum lifting capacity of 4350 kg (fig. G). The tractor can be optionally equipped with a rear lever allowing the operator to control raising and lowering of the lift from the ground (fig. H). The system features up to 4 auxiliary valves, two controlled by a joystick for front loader use (fig. F) and two operated by a lever located beside the driver s seat. F H G CAB The most outstanding feature of the C-Max Cab tractor is the all-round visibility of the DELUXE cab provided by the all-glass side doors hinged onto the rear post. The interiors, stylish and accurate, have been executed making large use of the composite materials of modern automotive design. All controls are arranged in a comfortable and intuitive position, according to current ergonomic standards. The heating/ventilation and airconditioning system is installed on the cab roof with considerable benefits for the driver in terms of comfort, safety and health. The ventilation system is integrated by two filters designed to purify the air inside the cab. If the operator is required to work in a pesticidecontaminated environment, the cab can be provided with activated-carbon filters, available on request. The roof features a fixed clear sunroof, particularly useful when working with front loaders, and four lights for night work. Natural ventilation is ensured by the openable front and rear windscreens (fig. I). Also the version with ISO-mounted platform offers an ergonomic driving position with adjustable sprung seat and adjustable steering wheel.
