Quality management certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 With the series of ISO 9000 certifications, standards have been set that document the basic principles for quality management systems. In their entirety, they define a coherent set of standards for quality management systems that are intended to facilitate understanding on national and international levels. SIMONSWERK has aligned its quality management system to comply with DIN EN ISO 9001 standards for many years. Certified environmental management according to DIN EN ISO 14001 The introduction of an integrated environmental management system in 2011 according to the international DIN EN ISO 14001 standard was the logical continuation of a company-wide, sustainable environmental protection policy. This system leads to a continuous reduction of environmental impact, saves resources, cuts costs, increases sustainability and goes far beyond the requirements imposed by environmental protection laws. Certified environmental management as a logical continuation of sustainable environmental protection. It comprehensively examines, assesses and takes into account all areas from procurement, production, logistics and administration to participation of the suppliers, service providers and distribution partners involved. The technical service provider TÜV Nord is responsible for external auditing and certification.
Product certification according to DIN EN 1935 The CE mark is the basis for the free movement of goods within the European Union. For this purpose, hinges for doors and windows are tested according to the DIN EN 1935 standard. Virtually all hinges from SIMONSWERK have been assigned to the highest use class. A test according to DIN EN 1935 can categorically only be completed with a single supporting hinge. SIMONSWERK hinges are generally tested with the highest possible number of opening cycles according to the standard 200,000 cycles. Furthermore, many hinges are tested with a significantly higher load value than stipulated by the regulations. The consistently high product quality is safeguarded by internal production monitoring, as well as annual monitoring visits from ift Rosenheim, the German Institute for Window Technology. All CE-certified products are equipped with a classification key. This eight-digit code will contain all essential information on the quality, load capacity and area of application of the hinge. With the CE marking, SIMONSWERK has been awarded another quality seal, now valid across Europe, which serves to further highlight the high quality of SIMONSWERK products.
Environmental product declaration (EPD) according to DIN ISO 14025 Environmental product declarations (abbr. EPDs) are the basis on which ecological assessments of buildings are established. They have been defined uniformly and internationally on the basis of ISO standards and are a mandatory part of the European standardization project Sustainability of construction works. SIMONSWERK practises sustainability. And can prove it! An environmental declaration for every individual product makes a comprehensive ecological assessment of a building possible. To this end, ecological balance sheets provide data about the entire product life cycle from production and service life to recycling. Door hinges from SIMONSWERK are installed in buildings as system components together with door or window elements. Therefore comprehensive documentation of the required data has been prepared for the product brands TECTUS, VARIANT, BAKA, SIKU, and ALPRO as part of the certified quality and environmental management system.

Due to the high degree of added value, and following consideration of the production processes and proof that the products to be certified meet the statutory minimum requirements for product safety and quality standards in every case, our products have been labelled by TÜV Nord with the certified proof of origin Made in Germany.
