The cold runner systems built by Günther permit trouble-free, material-saving and material-compatible production of molded LSR components. Moreover, the cold runner systems also benefit from the special features of Günther's hot runner systems, such as simple construction, modular nozzle design, and excellent thermal separation between nozzle and cavity. In order to provide good thermal separation between the hot cavity plate and the cold side, Günther has ensured that the contact surface at the nozzle tip is kept as small as possible. The floating bearing helps to compensate for thermal expansion, and the controlled flow of cooling media leads to an optimum temperature profile. The nozzles can be installed either as single units or in a group housing for closer nest spacing, with common inflow and outflow. In this way, Günther offers a complete cold side that can be purchased as a standardized component for efficient integration in corresponding molds.
