The ramps are used to negotiate steps and kerbstones, assisting wheelchair users into cars, or whenever there is a need to overcome height differences. T E L E S C O P I C S U I T C A S E R A M P Perfect for overcoming larger height differences. A wide ramp that is easily extended to the desired length. Can be folded along its width and extended in length, thus taking up less space than other long ramps. Excellent for scooters and electric wheelchairs. Selecting the most suitable length of ramp Always select the longest possible ramp. The longer the ramp, the less the gradient to overcome. In general the following lengths of ramps are recommended in relation to the gradient indicated: For independent users of manual wheelchairs: Max. gradient 1:7. For manual wheelchairs pushed by a helper and for electric wheelchairs: Max. gradient 1:5. Example: To overcome a height difference of 20 cm and a maximum gradient of 1:5 a ramp of 100 cm would be suitable (5 x 20 = 100). Further see the below diagram. D O O R S T E P R A M P - F O R P E R M A N E N T I N S T A L L A T I O N, A doorstep is an obstacle for wheelchairs, rollators and other mobile aid facilities. This obstacle can be done away with permanently by removing the existing doorstep and installing a Stepless cover plate over the hole created. Material: Extruded, aluminium- or champagne-coloured aluminium with incorporated non-slip surface. A L U M I N I U M If it is impractical to remove the existing doorstep, a permanent Stepless doorstep ramp can be installed on one or both sides of the doorstep to facilitate entering and leaving. Material: Bent aluminium plate with lacquered non-slip surface. New ramps from Stepless! Stepless portable suitcase ramps Stepless portable suitcase ramps are the latest addition to the Stepless range of lightweight ramps. The new suitcase ramps fold up small when not in use and are therefore easy to transport and store. They are easy to handle and the soft handles make the ramps comfortable to carry. The suitcase ramps are available in two models, both of which are perfect for scooter or wheelchair users. Stepless suitcase ramp This ramp folds once along its width and is carried like a suitcase, thus making it more practical. In its unfolded state, the ramp provides width, but when folded, takes up only half the space. Not only that, but it is also easy to remove and to position whenever the need to overcome minor height differences arises. Stepless telescopic suitcase ramp The telescopic suitcase ramp is an entirely new design within this category. The ramp is perfect for compensating for larger height differences, as it is easily extended to the required length. At the same time, it takes up less space than a long ramp normally would, both when the user wants to position the ramp and during transport and storage.
