General description Applications Box fans are used in comfort systems, where low energy consumption and low noise levels are required and also in installations where the air is slightly greasy or air temperature is up to 120 C degrees. Two versions for different applications are available: HT-fan F400(120) in accordance with the standard 12101-3 and continuous temperature range up to 120 C degrees. Unit can be installed under the roof and also outside (special protection devices to be used for motor, drive to be installed inside). Easy access for service and cleaning The fan should be regularly cleaned to maintain perfect operation of the fan. Casing is equipped with two inspection hatches, which allow easy access to the impeller and inside casing for cleaning and service. Motor itself is located outside of the casing. Demand control ventilation The demand for different air flows at different times of the day and during different seasons is increasing all the time. Also new ErP Directive is looking for decreased energy consumption of fans. Box fan GLEB is equipped with high efficiency CentriflowPlus impeller. Motor speed can be controlled with frequency converter also in case of HT-version. These allow always best and optimised energy consumption. Quiet operation Box fans are often located near people and low sound levels are important. Impeller itself is quiet and demand controlled fan speed always allows the lowest sound levels. Casing is insulated against sound and condensation. The fan is equipped with installation beams and vibration dampers as standard. Air flow measurement Box fan can be equipped also with air flow measurment device to adjust the correct speed of the motor. Constant pressure systems In case where the constant pressure of the system is requiered, the pressure controller is available as an accessory. Design description Material and design The fan casing is made of galvanised sheet steel. It is equipped with 2 inspection hatches, one on both sides. Outlet and inlet connections are standard Veloduct components having rubber gasket as standard. The unit has as standard mounting bars and dampers. Fan impeller The fan impeller is made of sheet steel, welded and painted with 60 μm thick epoxy paint, ( colour RAL 6029 green). The impeller is dynamically balanced to ISO 1940-1973 G 6.3 ( size 025) and G 2.5 (sizes 031-050) at maximum speed. The vibration level of the fan is below 7.1 mm/s RMS. Motor As standard, box fan is supplied with the motor. The motor is a standard IE2-class 3-phase foot motor outside air stream. As standard motors have thermistors. Quality Our serial production products meet the requirements of DIN 24 166 tolerance class 1. The company has acquired the ISO 9001 quality certificate and the ISO 14001 environment certificate. Specification text A high efficiency box fan equipped with an impeller with optimized blade profile and rotating diffuser. The fan casing is insulated against noise and condensation. The fan is equipped with IE2 standard motor, which can be controlled with frequency converter. HT-version is tested in accordance with ISO 12101-3 standard for class F400(120). The capacity measurement have been performed according to ISO 5801:2007 and the sound power level according to ISO 3741:1999. Requirements have been stated according to the DIN 24 166 class 1. Motors can be controlled with frequency converter. Two different types of VSD are available. 1-phase IP21 class VSD and 3-phase IP 54 class VSD. Fan chart-explanation and definitions The total A-weighted sound power level L wa to the outlet duct can be read in the fan chart. The correction coefficients by octave bands can be read in the sound data table. The sound level by octave band to the outlet duct, inlet duct or surroundings (without A-weighting) can be obtained by using following formula, where K oct is read from the correct sound path.
