The unit was first fitted in a Mercedes sprinter van some eleven years ago and was employed as a fitters van on the Manchester airport second runway, which was one of the largest civil engineering projects in Europe at the time. After the sprinters life had expired with Amec, Motor On then reconditioned the Automate and fitted it into a new generation transit engaged on motorway construction and the Docklands Light Railway by our piling division.
