DEPARTMENT 103 TRACTOR PULLING CONTEST DEAD WEIGHT CEMENT PULL SUNDAY, AUGUST 19 th, 9:00 a.m. RULES 1. Please read general rules and regulations beginning on page 13. 2. Contestants must provide the Superintendent with their Social Security Number. 3. Pull will begin at 9:00 a.m. SHARP. This is a dead-weight pull on cement. All tractors must be weighed in at Chelsea Fairgrounds according to the following schedule. Scales open at 7:30 a.m. Tractors up to 3,750 pounds (Class 10301) are to be weighed by 8:30 a.m. Tractors in classes 10302 & 10303 to be weighed by 9:30 am. Tractors in classes 10304 10306 to be weighed in by 11 a.m. 4. Entry fee is $15.00. 5. Cards must be signed by parents of minors (under 18 years of age) before tractors will be weighed. Driver must be 14 years or older to pull in 6,000# class and above. 6. Contest is open to rubber tired, wheel type farm tractors. No 4-wheel drives. No cut down, smooth tires allowed. No wear between treads. No industrial or knobby tires. 7. Entry limited to one tractor per class, and one driver per tractor. Each tractor allowed in one class only. 8. Winner will be determined on a maximum deadweight basis. Tractor pulling greatest weight in each class will be the winner. Full pull is completed when chain is tight. 9. Drawbar height for classes 10301 thru 10304 are limited to 18 inches. Tractors over 10,000 pounds can have a drawbar height to 20".The drawbar cannot be raised after the pull has started. If you have to pull off more than once because of drawbar height, you will be disqualified. Must not be more than 1 inch of washers between drawbar and clevis. 10. The hitch must be no closer than 17 inches from the center of the rear axle. 11. You must pull from a drawbar, not a hoop. No braces or drawbar support above rear axle. 12. Each contestant will receive three pulling chances at first weight, two pulling chances at each weight thereafter. Clevis should have 3 inch minimum hole for hook. Large twist clevis preferred. Homemade clevis should be minimum ½ inch place plate bolted tightly. D clevis will not be allowed. Thirty second time limit per pull. No jerking allowed. Brake or differential lock can be used. 13. R.P.M.s will be checked on all tractors. Tractors may not exceed more than 15% over factory recommendations. If the R.P.M.s are too high, it will have to be changed before they pull or you will be disqualified. If the judge questions the R.P.M.s, they can also be checked after the pull. 14. Front end height will be no higher than 24 inches. The judge can and will stop the pull if they feel you are operating unsafely. 15. Weights cannot protrude over 30 from front of tractor. 16. Any combination of off the seat or jerking the chain 3 times, the pull is over. 17. Tractors will be weighed in with driver. No driver changes allowed after weigh-in. All weights to be bolted or affixed in a secure manner. If a weight is not secure, it must be made safe or taken off. 18. No modified tractors. 19. There cannot be any support of drawbar or clevis with a three-point hitch top link. 20. Absolutely no drinking of alcoholic beverages during contest either on or around Fairgrounds.

21. All rules will be interpreted by the superintendent and the official judges until the start of the contest, thereafter, the judges decision will be final. Any argument with officials will result in disqualification. 22. The superintendent in charge of pull will have full power in any dispute not covered in Rules. 23. Driver must remain in seat. 24. Driver must have one hand on steering wheel at all times. 25. Driver may not strap themselves into seat. 26. Must have wheelie bars. Wheelie bars required on tractors up to 6,000 lbs. Cannot be more than 15 inches off ground and must be past the radius of tire. If the wheelie bar touches, the pull is disqualified. 27. No pressurized tanks, LP tanks or poppers. Officials have the right to inspect tractors. 28. Wheelie bars must not be attached to any part of the hitch assembly. 29. All winners must re-weigh after they have completed their last pull in their class. Rosette for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places DEPARTMENT 105 TRACTOR PULLING CONTEST RULES FOR FARM STOCK SPEED PULL EVENT Friday, 7:00 p.m. 1. All tractors are to be farm owned and pulled as worked on the farm. 2. Contestants may use brakes, differential locks, torque converters and auto shifts. 3. No L.P. gas topper or pressurized tank. 4. All tractors must be in neutral or park while being hitched or unhitched. 5. All pulls must start with a tight hitch. No jerking permitted. 6. Contestants will be allowed two consecutive attempts within 75 feet to start the sled. 7. Number one puller will be test puller and may take pull if weight machine is operating properly, or he may pull in 3rd position. If machine needs further adjustment, first puller after each adjustment will be treated as number one puller. On any re-pull caused by a contest malfunction, puller, at his discretion, may drop back 3 positions. 8. Contestants will receive their number as they are weighed in. Once the class has started, no numbers will be distributed for that class. Contestant must pull in order drawn within 3 minutes of the time after sled is in readiness. Any delay will mean disqualification. 9. Tractor and sled must remain within boundaries of course during the pull, or be disqualified. 10. No one is allowed on the track except for track officials and contestant; no helpers. 11. All tractors and drivers must re-weigh IMMEDIATELY after they have completed their pull. Any tractor found to be overweight will be disqualified. THIS RULE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.

12. A Farm Stock tractor is not allowed to exceed 15% over manufacturer's recommendations. 13. Any protest must be accompanied by a $200 protest fee. 14. When filling out entries, please include all information. Include name, mailing address, phone number and Social Security Number. 15. Must get number and register at time of weigh-in. If number isn t drawn, competitor will not pull. 16. All rules will be interpreted by the superintendent and the official judges until the start of the contest. Thereafter, the judge s decision will be final. 17. The superintendent in charge of pull will have full power in any dispute or matter not covered in rules. 18. Entry fee is $15.00 for Farm Stock, Classic Farm, Hot Farm and $20.00 for Super and Pro Stock Classes. 19. Drivers must be 16 years or older. 20. 9300 lb Super Farm class will pull both Friday and Saturday nights. Same rules for both nights. ADDITIONAL RULES FOR 10,000 AND 12,000 FARM STOCK ONLY: 1. Tires cannot be bigger than 20.8/38, 18.4/42 or 18.4/46 and they cannot be cut 2. No water injection 3. No more than 3,000 RPM 4. Factory driven clutch parts 5. Alternators 6. Water pump 7. Cannot jump classes from Farm Stock into Hot Farm or Hot Farm into Farm Stock 8. Pro Stock and Super Farm cannot jump to Hot Farm ADDITIONAL RULES FOR PRO STOCK/SUPER STOCK COMB, SUPER FARM 9300 CLASSES: 1. Must abide by NTPA Safety Rules. 2. Must be NTPA approved. 3. DEPARTMENT 104 ANTIQUE TRACTOR PULLING CONTEST MONDAY, AUGUST 20th, 9:00 a.m. RULES 1. Please read general rules and regulations beginning on page 13. 2. Contestants must provide the Superintendent with their Social Security Number. 3. The Antique Tractor Pulling Contest is limited to 1940 and earlier models. 4. All tractors must be weighed in at the Chelsea Fairgrounds between 7:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Pull will begin at 9:00 a.m. SHARP. Tractor to be weighed with driver on the seat. 5. Contest Officials reserve the right to re-weigh winners. Entry fee is $10.00. Percentage pull on cement slab. 6. Cards must be signed by parents of minors (under 18 years of age) before tractors will be weighed. 7. Class 10401 (Women's Powder Puff) will be second class to pull. Tractors are to be 1940 and earlier. Tractor and/or driver can enter in classes 10402-10405 after participating in the powder puff. 8. Tractors are allowed wheel weights or channel weights front and rear. Weights should be fastened and not interfere with hook. Any weights or objects falling from tractor during the pull will disqualify the contestant for that pull only. 9. Drawbar or point of pull not to exceed 18 inches from the ground and no less than 17 inches from center of rear axle. Pull from factory drawbar or safe equipment. No braces or drawbar support above rear axle. 10. Clevis to have 3 inches minimum hole for hook. A large twist clevis preferred. Homemade clevis should be 1/2 inch plate bolted tightly. D clevis will not be allowed. 11. No cut down smooth tires, no industrial tires, no wear between lugs, no dual wheels allowed. 12. Weights cannot protrude over 30 from front of tractor. 13. Each driver allowed only one tractor in each class. Each tractor is limited to one class, except that tractor can be used in the powder puff class. 14. Driver will be allowed 30 seconds to complete their pull after starting. Two pulls will be allowed if needed. Second pull will be taken immediately after first pull. (unless mechanical failure) (first time 3 pulls if needed). 15. During the pull you are allowed to use brakes. You cannot shift up or down or disengage clutch, front wheels are not allowed to remain over 18 inches off the ground. Bouncing will be allowed if driver remains on seat. Any combination of off the seat or jerking the chain 3 times the pull is over. 16. RPM not to exceed 15% of factory recommendations. MPH not to exceed 5 mph. 17. Tractor must have original looking block. 18. Driver must have one hand on steering wheel at all times. 19. Must have wheelie bars. Wheelie bars must not be attached to any part of the hitch assembly. Cannot be more than 15 inches off the ground and must be past the radius of tire.
