Gantry Manual Bag Pickup and Gantry System CHOICE BGGING EQUIPMENT, LTD

18-012 (gantry) sequence description, basic systems description and operating procedures: The sequence description is as follows: 1. The system is initiated via the HMI instructions a. Ensure air pressure is on. b. Ensure CBE controller is on. c. Ensure empty bags are loaded on conveyor. d. Manually move the gantry arm back (V ). i. This is done in the via MNUL functions in HMI. ii. System will not complete a cycle if gantry arm is not pulled back. iii. This is to ensure the gantry never runs into any equipment. e. Blow off sensors and equipment. f. Ensure no bags are placed on the delivery system. g. Press SYSTEM STRT on the HMI. i. ll moving parts will go to the home position. 2. The conveyor with index bags to the system. a. Conveyor stops via photo eye engagement. 3. Bag pick-up and travel system is engaged via the following functions: a. Vacuum is engaged on bag pick-up. b. Bag pick-up travels down on Z-axis until suction is made on bag. c. Bag pick-up travels up Z-axis and will activate sensor for bag pincher. d. Duckbill will penetrate bag by extending across X-axis. i. Duckbill will open. ii. Vacuum to the bag will release. e. Duckbill will travel right across Y-axis. 4. Gantry arm will perform the following functions: a. Gantry arm will move IN on V-axis. b. Gripper/EOT will CLOSE on bag. c. Gantry arm will move on V-axis i. t this point, duckbill will close, return to the home position, the bag pick-up and travel system steps will repeat so the next bag will be ready. d. Gantry arm will move RIGHT along W-axis. e. Gantry arm will move IN on V-axis to place bag on spout. f. Gripper/EOT will OPEN to release bag. g. Gantry arm will return to HOME position. i. t this point, gantry arm functions will repeat once the bag spout is clear and ready for another bag. The Bag Pick-up and Gantry cell consists of: 1. Bag indexing conveyor (1 each) a. Photo eye (1 each) b. Motor (1 each) 2. Bag pick-up and delivery system a. Magnetic proximity sensors (9 each) b. c. PIB vacuum pumps (3 each) d. Suction cups (3 each) e. Bag pincher arms (2 each) f. Duckbill (1 each) g. Rodless cylinders (3 each) h. Roded cylinder (1 each) 3. Gantry arm and gripper/eot a. Magnetic proximity sensors (6 each) b. Pneumatic valves (3 each) c. Roded cylinders (3 each) 4. System controls a. 3 phase 24 VDC power supply b. PLC (utomation Direct [D0-06DR-D]) i. 24 VDC input ii. Relay output c. HMI (human machine interface) (C-More) d. Motor starter with overload (Fuji) i. Bag indexing conveyor e. 24 volt DC control relays i. Interface with CBE equipment The HMI consist of: 1. When the system boots up, the Home screen will be displayed. 2. System Start to start the system. 3. fter System Start is pressed, the System Stop button will appear. Press the System Stop button to cease operation of the system. 4. t any time press the Home button to return home or press the CBE button to go to the CBE info page. 5.
