IF YOU WANT TO HARVEST THE SUN, YOU BETTER DO IT RIGHT We innovate, know and believe. You benefit. 1

IMPROVE THE WORLD, SHARE THE BENEFITS All over the world people finally realise that a shift from fossil fuels to sustainable energy is needed to fight energy poverty and reduce CO 2 emissions. And that is exactly the promise Solarus makes. We are a renowned manufacturer of the hybrid PowerCollector TM, generating three times more energy from the sun than traditional PV-panels. The unique and patented Solarus PowerCollector TM has the highest yield ever measured. Slowly but certainly the market is discovering that this third generation solar is indeed the most efficient way to get energy from the sun, as was already stated by the International Energy Agency years ago. Solarus is at the moment the only company in the world, able to produce this technology on a mass scale. The potential for this innovative technology is beginning to show and grow and since it perfectly meets the need for heat in the food and beverage industry, you can benefit from it. If we want to stay within the maximum of 2 C degrees temperature rise, we need to scale up renewable energy technology at a massive speed in the coming decade. We are convinced of the performance of our technology and also aware of the enormous challenge ahead. We believe in our technology and therefore we also developed our Renewable energy as a service -proposition. With this service there is no need to invest upfront, but you can reduce your energy costs from the start. What we offer is a proposition in which we design, pre-finance, install and monitor a total energy solution and you simply benefit from renewable energy that is produced at your location. We hope to speak with you soon to discover the sustainable energy potential for your company, because we innovate, know and believe. We know you can benefit from it. Leen Zevenbergen CEO Joost Brinkman Director International Accounts 2

OUR JOURNEY: FROM IDEA TO SCALE-UP As a spin off from Vattenfall, we went through an amazing journey in which we managed to transform a brilliant idea into a disruptive product that can be produced at mass scale. 3

THE FOOD & BEVERAGE INDUSTRY AND SOLARUS: A WIN-WIN The food & beverage industry brings a couple of elements together that makes our technology a perfect match 1 High heat demand 2 Ambitious targets on renewables 3 Operations in suitable countries In the F&B industry there is a continuous demand for hot water. For instance for cleaning purposes and pasteurisation. More than ten big F&B companies joined RE100, a business driven initiative to switch to 100% renewable energy in the foreseeable future. Global F&B companies have operations near their customers and production facilities in countries that are feasible for the PowerCollector. 4

WE INNOVATE We developed the PowerCollector: a unique and patented technology with the highest energy yield ever measured. Besides electricity the PowerCollector delivers a lot of heat - up to 70 C. The Solarus PowerCollector is a concentrating, hybrid solar photovoltaic and solar thermal panel. Concentrating means that it has a curved mirror to collect and reflect more sunlight throughout the day. Hybrid means that it combines solar photovoltaic (PV) generation of electricity with solar thermal (T) generation heat. Solarus offers, as the only company in the world, both Active Cell Cooling and Maximum Reflector Collector Technologies. This makes the Solarus PowerCollector the absolute highest performing solar collector on the planet generating 3x more energy from a surface than conventional PV-panels. The peak performance of one PowerCollector is : 1.350Wp- Thermal and 270Wp-Electrical Active Cell Cooling technology Maximum Reflector Collector technology 100% Sun 70% Solarus PowerCollector 20% Conventional PV panel Day 5

WE KNOW ENERGY We designed the best PowerCollector in the world, but that is just the start. With our knowledge of energy and energy systems, we can design the optimal and financially most attractive energy configuration for your specific situation. Technology designed by Vattenfall We have in depth knowledge of all energy related assets and advanced simulation technologies to design an optimal solution. Conventional solarpanels Heatpumps Heat and electricity storage Adsorption chillers Waste heat and waste cold recovery For example at the Vineyard hotel in Capetown, we combined 60 PowerCollectors with a heatpump: The heat pump increased equivalent thermal production with 50% All electrical energy produced by PowerCollector is used to drive the heat pump The heat pump also acts as a back-up system for low radiation months, it improves overall energy distribution over the year 6

Total annual energy savings WE BELIEVE IN OUR TECHNOLOGY We do not only promise, but we can also offer our Renewable energy as a service model in which we design, develop, pre-finance, install and maintain the best energy solution for your situation. This gives you the opportunity to save costs from the start. Design & contracting Installation Year 1 Year 2-5 * Year 2-5* Year 6-20 Client pays 80% * of the energy savings to Solarus Client pays back a portion of the installation and a relative part of the energy savings to Solarus every month. 100% of the energy savings for the client 20% * savings from day one * The term and precentages will depend on the local situation. The five years payback period and 80% is based on a recent project in South Africa 7
