All the flexibility you need With the Taarup 600 series feed material in most common formats, including round and square bales, can be introduced into the diet, chopped and thoroughly mixed with other components including clamp silage, compounds, concentrates, molasses, minerals etc. The ability to add all components, in any format, means ultimate flexibility in formulating rations. Full control during loading Highly accurate weighing system Taarup 600 series offer a highly accurate weighing system - the Taarup TMRscale. The three point mounting of the weigh bars guarantees the accuracy which is so necessary for successful diet feeding. Taarup TMRscale is available in 3 formats to suit all feed management regimes - simple, simple with remote control & fully programmable. Operator friendly system The easy to read display is mounted on a rotating arm, which can be viewed from either side of the machine or from the tractor cab. With the optional remote control the scale is easily reset from the loader between each feed component - ideal for loading and feeding by 1 person. A strong heart for maximum output Precise and even chop Taarup 600 series are fitted with two contra-rotating augers to ensure efficient incorporation of long or baled materials with other components. The two augers are fitted with replaceable circular cutting knives with a multiple of usable cutting edges. Unique design of mxing chamber The lower part of the mixing chamber features a unique design of corrosion resistant Cor-Ten steel overlaid with Ultra-Glide plastic liners - all designed to extend the life of the machine. Ultra-Glide plastic is unaffected by moisture and acid while helping to reduce friction during mixing, which reduces power required. In addition Ultra-Glide can be replaced quickly and at relatively low cost. The two contra-rotating augers and the centrally mounted, adjustable shear bar. Fast incorporation of all materials Both augers of the Taarup 600 series rotate towards the centre of the mixing chamber and work in conjunction with a centrally mounted shear bar to chop long materials and for fast incorporation of whole bales. Precise mixing process The Taarup two auger mixing system ensures thorough movement of material in the mixing chamber, giving a perfect blend of ingredients - no pockets of concentrates, minerals, etc. This ensures that animals consume an even and balanced diet and that feed wastage is minimised. The auger - shear bar combination permits the fast incorporation of baled or long material, ensuring mixing time is as short as possible. Robust auger drive The robust chain drive auger system is designed for long lifetime and low maintenance. All chains and sprockets are situated in an oil bath, providing continuous lubrication. The complete drive mechanism is easily accessed for maintenance via two inspection panels with seals to prevent moisture and dust entering. Small amounts of minerals and concentrates can be introduced into the mix via a rear-loading chute. 5
Even distribution of the feed ration Discharge options The Taarup 600 series offer a variety of options for the distribution of the feed - to 1 or 2 sides, independantly or simultaneously. Fixed position discharge chute, hydraulic driven discharge roller or conveyor systems up to 2 metres in length ensure discharge options to suit all applications. Suitable for all requirements All machines are built with left and right discharge ability to suit the modification of the Taarup 600 series to specific requirements. If necessary the Taarup 600 series can be supplied with two doors for simultaneous distribution on left and right side in one pass. An easily visible graduated indicator at the front of the machine informs the driver regarding the door position. The silent running ribbed conveyor belt ensures precise and even distribution of the feed ration and is suitable for fitting to left or right side of the machine. The hydraulically driven ribbed conveyor is ideal for direct distribution into troughs thanks to the hydraulically adjustable position. The fixed discharge chute is an ideal solution when operating in narrow cow sheds. The door is hydraulically operated from the tractor cab. 6
