Taarup 2400 series Flexible suspension and reliable performance Taarup offers a new rear mounted disc mower series with working widths of 2.0-3.2 m. Taarup 2400 series offer a very reliable performance, easy handling and high output at low power requirements. The flexible suspension ensures that the mower adapts itself to even the worst ground conditions. 2
Easy adjustment of ground pressure A large compensation spring ensures the best possible support of the cutterbar of Taarup 2400 series. This gives optimum ground pressure along the entire cutterbar, even under differing conditions and contours. The ground pressure is easily and accurately set by adjusting one spring. Lift of mower unit On headlands the mower is lifted without activating the three-point linkage of the tractor which needs no adjustment in the field. A clever and simple solution ensuring good clearance and eliminating swath damage. Convenient transport solution For transport the machine is folded hydraulically from the tractor cab to the vertical transport position well behind the tractor ensuring a stable and steady transport. Adjustable lifting pins Taarup 2400 series offer a very easy mounting on the tractor. When the machine is parked the lifting pins are horizontal. The linkage pins are easily adjusted to match the tractors width, which enables the mower to cut to its full working width. Taarup 2400 series offer a very even swath formation whether it is wide or narrow. With the optional swath rollers the swath is separated from the uncut crop. Flexible suspension for extreme uneven field conditions Taarup 2400 series offer a very flexible suspension giving perfect ground contour following. This ensures that the mower is able to adapt to extremely uneven field conditions giving the best mowing result. The linkage of Taarup 2400 ensures that the mower is capable of working on steep angles or in hilly conditions. For extreme hilly conditions an optional hillside equipment is offered. The Taarup 2400 series can pivot 35 up and down without any adjustment. 3
Taarup 2500 series Centre suspension for perfect ground contour following Taarup 2500 series offer high performance and easy handling, combined with centre suspension that absorb uneven field surfaces. Taarup 2500 series with working widths ranging from 2.4 to 4.0 m. 4
Centre suspension The centre suspension of the Taarup 2500 series ensures perfect ground contour following. Uneven field surfaces are absorbed by the suspension. The ground pressure is easily and very accurately set by the handle on top of the suspension frame. Easy coupling and uncoupling When the Taarup 2500 series are parked the lifting pins are horizontal and the suspension is standing stable on 2 support legs for easy coupling and uncoupling. Swath rollers The Taarup 2500 series can be fitted with swath rollers in both left and right hand side. Strong frame for high performance The patented leaf springs are integrated in the frame of the Taarup 2500 series. This unique and though simple suspension design has made it possible to combine strength, performance and easy handling. 5
Each individual disc bearing housing can be removed in a matter of minutes for easy maintenance and bearing replacement. Taarup uses round discs. Round discs are less susceptible to stone impact and reduce shock loads in the transmission. All Taarup disc mowers are equipped with twisted knives ensuring a perfect cut and efficient transport over the cutterbar. Cutterbar with round discs The famous high specification Taarup cutterbar is an all welded design with a high oil capacity ensuring a very low working temperature. The result is a smooth and well protected transmission with a long life expectancy. The benefits are lower repair and maintenance costs - at the same time as a clean and aggressive cut. Twisted knives All Taarup disc mowers are equipped with twisted knives as standard.the twisted knife ensures a clean cut under all conditions, especially under difficult conditions (light and wet material) where the lift and efficient transport over the cutterbar is important. For very rough conditions (stony and uneven ground) Taarup offers the Super Cut or the V-shaped knives as an option on all machines. High oil capacity The Taarup cutterbar has been designed for low maintenance. It has a high oil capacity ensuring a very low working temperature. This ensures an efficient oil cooling and lubrication of the entire cutterbar. Non Stop safety system Taarup 2400 and 2500 series are fitted with a Non-Stop breakaway system to protect the cutterbar. If hitting an obstacle the Non-Stop breakaway system will swing the machine backwards and over the obstacle and then return it to the original working position. No need to stop - no time lost. 6
