This is a direct replacement part. Air Stamping provides complete M-0 replacement Duotrol Packages. All Duotrol parts are available but may be subject to long lead time due to the nature of the part. 6 7 FIGURE 9. - Brush Dampening Components

AIR STAMPING, INC. AS-0000 - Motorized Ink Fountain Roller Air Stamping has designed a motorized ink fountain roller enhancement to replace the ratchet pawl drive. The motorized roller provides a constant feed of ink to the ductor roll, thus keeping an even amount of ink in the roller train. It also eliminates the ratchet and pawl wear problem. The fountain roll tracks press speed and can be increased or decreased independently. This package requires electrical and mechanical installation time. Illustration 0 Enhancements AS-67- - Fountain Blade Felt End Cheek The original M-0 cheek is a delrin block set 0.00 away from the fountain ball. Air Stamping offers a modification to this cheek which adds a felt that is retained by a clamping plate. This package provides an improved ink seal between the edge of the fountain and the fountain roll. No press modification is required. AS-69- - Gapless Blade The original M-0 & M0B came with either a solid one piece blade or a laser cut segmented blade. The solid blade did not provide the ability to precisely control the ink on individual key settings. It also has a tendency to buckle. The laser blade provided individual key/segmented control, but leaked through the laser cuts. The Air Stamping Gapless Segmented Blade provides the operator with excellent key zone control, eliminates buckling and does not leak between segments. The blade is /8 thick versus /6 thick for added rigidity and life. The segmented blade is a direct replacement. AS-0000 - Continuous Dampener This enhancement has the necessary parts to convert a brush dampener to a continuous dampener. The Air Stamping continuous dampener incorporates a sliding slip roll wedge style hanger bracket, extended handle adjustments for safety and plate form following. This package requires electrical and mechanical installation time. AS-66 - Split Ductor Cams The ductor cams on the original M-0 and M-0B were solid, the shaft had to be removed to replace the cams. The split ductor cam was designed for easy change out. Gapless Blade Fountain Roll Felt End Cheek

AIR STAMPING, INC. Illustration Enhancements AS-0000 - Heavy Duty Cocking On early M-0 presses the cocking mechanism was weak and would not hold setting, thus creating bump streaks and print problems. The M-0B press has an improved system. Air Stamping has designed a heavy duty system to replace the earlier version. This package provides accurate setting and will aid in eliminating bump streaks. Minor frame modification is necessary. AS-0000 - Motorized Sidelay Some early M-0 presses were not equipped with motorized sidelay adjustment. Air Stamping offers a motorized sidelay adjustment for the early vintage presses. The retrofit assembly is superior to the O.E.M. system in that it is geared at a higher correction rate, more comparable with the correction speed of electronic register systems of today. This retrofit will improve quality and reduce waste. Scheduled press downtime is necessary to install the system. Item. AS-7 - Dog Bone Quick Plate Lock-up This enhancement replaces the ratchet style plate lockup with a one sided workside lockup and a reel rod nut on the gearside. This lockup facilitates quick plate changes. No press modification is necessary. Plates can be installed within minutes. Item. AS-00- - Narrow Gap.90 Blanket Reel Rod Reducing the blanket gap provides added print length capability and less shock at the gap for reduced bump streak potential. Air Stamping offers a narrow gap reel rod for those desiring to convert to narrow gap blanket cylinders. This enhancement requires cylinder gap reconstruction while the cylinder is in the cylinder shop for rebuilding. In all probability, there would be an up charge for additional cylinder work required to convert to the narrow gap. Item. AS-0000 - Plate Locator This enhancement is a plate stop to position your plate on the cylinder. The theory is that the press was in register prior to plate changes and if the new plate is positioned close to the old location, the press will come into register quicker. The plate locator can only be installed during cylinder work, counter balancing is required and some holes may need to be drilled in the cylinder. Item. AS-87 - H- Bearers Bearers manufactured of highest quality H- steel are a standard Air Stamping M-0 product. There are numerous grades of H- steel, however the highly processed H- steel utilized by Air Stamping is superior in quality. The Air Stamping M-0 bearer assures uniformity of specifications, press performance and bearer longitivity. AS-0000 - Felt Bearer Wipe Conversion Air Stamping offers a spring loaded bearer wipe conversion that assures uniform and consistent bearer wipe felt pressure. Bearer life is influenced by the quality of the bearer wipe mechanism and felts. This retrofit requires press frame drilling. AS-0000 - Drive Bay Gusset On early M-0 presses the drive bay shaft was unsupported on the exiting side of the print unit prior to the drive pulley. This caused torsional vibration and print quality problems. Air Stamping has designed a steel gusset bracket with a pillow block bearing to support the driveshaft and add rigidity. This enhancement requires considerable mechanical work to install. Research whether the sideframe is drilled before beginning the retrofit.
