Unclip and remove the (2) side trim panels running the length of the center console. 2. Remove (1) Phillips screw from each side of the front of the center console. 3. Remove (2) Phillips screws per side from the cover on the back of the center console then unclip and remove the cover. (Figure C) 70 9 Continued on next page 70 9 (Figure C)
0 19 99-10S-LC Dash Disassembly 4. Remove (2) Phillips screws exposed under the cover on the back of console. (Figure D) 5. For automatic models, remove one T20 torx from the front of the shifter and remove the knob. 6. Remove gauge cluster/trim panel around shifter. (Figure E) 7. Remove shifter surround panel, (4) 7 mm bolts, unclip each side and lift up. (Figure F) Continued on next page (Figure D) 100 70 9 8. Lift up on the rear of the console and slide toward the back of the vehicle then unclip and remove the entire center console. (Figure G) 9. Remove (2) screws securing the climate control/radio trim panel and remove. (Figure H) 10. Remove (4) Phillips screws securing the radio chassis. (Figure I) 11. Kit Preparation Kit Assembly 1. Cut and remove the sub dash radio support to make room for the interface and harnesses. 2. Remove panel clips from factory radio and attach to the top of the kit housing. Continue to kit assembly DIN head unit provision with pocket 1. Slide the DIN cage into the radio housing and secure by bending the metal locking tabs down. 2. Snap the pocket into the bottom opening of the radio housing. 3. Slide the aftermarket head unit into the cage and secure. 4. Locate the factory wiring harness in the dash. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter from Metra or AXXESS. Re-connect the negative battery terminal and test the unit for proper operation. 5. Reassemble dash in reverse order of disassembly.
Kit Assembly ISO DIN head unit provision with pocket 1. Mount the ISO brackets to the head unit with the screws supplied with the unit. 2. Snap the pocket into the bottom opening of the radio housing. 3. Slide the head unit into the radio opening until the side clips engage. 4. Snap the trim plate into the radio housing. (Figure C) 5. Locate the factory wiring harness in the dash. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter from Metra or AXXESS. Re-connect the negative battery terminal and test the unit for proper operation. 6. Reassemble dash in reverse order of disassembly. (Figure C) Double DIN/Stacked ISO DIN head unit provision 1. Cut and remove the center support (For DDIN only). 2. Snap the Double DIN brackets to the inside edge of the Double DIN radio housing. 3. Slide the Double DIN head unit or stacked ISO head units into the bracket/radio housing assembly and secure the Double DIN head unit or stacked ISO head units to the assembly using the screws supplied with the radio. (Figure C) 4. Snap the double DIN trim plate into the DDIN radio housing. (Figure C) 5. Locate the factory wiring harness in the dash. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter from Metra or AXXESS. Re-connect the negative battery terminal and test the unit for proper operation. 6. Reassemble dash in reverse order of disassembly. (Figure C)

Interface harness: 1. Connect the Yellow wire to the radios constant/memory wire. 2. Connect the Red wire to the radios accessory wire (a relay is needed if connecting more to this wire than just the radio). 3. Connect the Black wire to the radios ground wire. 4. Connect the Blue wire to the radios amp turn on. 5. Connect the White wire to the radios left front (+) speaker wire. 6. Connect the White/Black wire to the radios left front (-) speaker wire. 7. Connect the Gray wire to the radios right front (+) speaker wire. 8. Connect the Gray/Black wire to the radios right front (-) speaker wire. 9. Connect the Green wire to the radios left rear (+) speaker wire. 10. Connect the Green/Black wire to the radios left rear (-) speaker wire. 11. Connect the Purple wire to the radios right rear (+) speaker wire.
Wire connections to be made Changing display backlight color. Connect the Purple/Black wire to the radios right rear (-) speaker wire. 13. Connect the Pink wire to the other Pink wire located on the 18-pin to 10-pin HVAC harness. Installing the Interface 1. Plug the interface into the vehicle and into the radio. 2. To initialize the interface, turn the ignition on and wait for seconds, then turn the ignition back off, and on again. 1. Press the front defrost button for 5 seconds, this will engage the Configure Backlight Color mode. Note, backlight will blink while in this mode. 2. Create your backlight color : Press and hold the Face button to increase Red. Press the Foot button to decrease Red. Press and hold the Face/Foot button to increase Green. Press and hold the Def/Foot button to decrease Green. Press and hold the Fan Up button to increase Blue. Press and hold the Fan Down button to decrease Blue. 3. After you have your desired color stop pressing the button(s) and the blinking will stop leaving your desired color. Testing the Interface Red Green Blue 1. Turn the ignition on then turn the radio on and test for proper balance and fader operation. 2. Close all the doors then turn the key off. The radio should stay on until the driver s door is open. Color Level Up Color Level Down Press and hold to enter Configure Backlight Color mode
