SEE240 Bus topology design Service description Bus topology engineering. Once the optimum fieldbus concept for your application has been established, the bus topology will be created. The field devices distributed across the system are logically assigned to individual bus segments and the number of bus nodes for each segment is determined. This is subject to the cable lengths, required cycle times, and selected transmission rates and function blocks in the fieldbus devices. A current balance is also drawn up and, in the case of ex areas, proof of intrinsic safety (FISCO fieldbus intrinsically safe concept) is provided. The appropriate network components are then selected, depending on ambient conditions and installation effort. Service content For everything from the field device right up to the input for the bus master card of the control system, we offer solutions to accommodate the following protocols, fieldbus devices, and network components.
