FETENE Gebeyehu M. Technical University of Denmark, Denmark Electric Car Users' Time of Charging Decision Problem Under Peak Load Pricing of Electricity and Its Implications for the Electricity Supplier This paper investigates how best to integrate electric vehicles in to the electricity grid system taking the driving behavior of electric vehicles, electricity consumption and production in to account. We derived the choice of the time of charging problem of electric car users and analyzed its implication on demand for electricity by considering travel survey data, battery consumption pattern of electric passenger data collected using GPS, and electricity production and consumption patterns. GS.1D Group D (EV: Electric Vehicles)

LATINOPOULOS Charilaos Imperial College London, United Kingdom My research interest is on electric mobility and the wider effects of cluster recharging on local power networks. I am a PhD student at the Center for Transport Studies at the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department and i am a part of the travel demand modeling group. In particular i am interested in developing operational models for aggregators/charging service providers that are based on optimization techniques and simulation of electric vehicle daily use. For the latter, i am investigating the joint travel and recharging behavior of EV users based on self-collected survey data. GS.2C Group D (EV: Electric Vehicles)

KRAUSE Jette Joint Research Centre, Italy I have recently started working at the EC JRC s Institute for Energy and Transport. I am contributing to the Electromobility Modelling project. I am working on the further development of a fleet impact model designed to perform vehicle stock projection for the road transport sector, including energy consumption, emission and cost projections. The model allows the formation and execution of scenarios, policy assessment and target setting. A detailed EU-wide vehicle stock baseline database has been hardcoded in the application so that the user can evaluate custom scenarios on real life data. My present tasks are to: - add vehicle efficiency technology cost curves (initially additional cost, potentially TCO) - soft-link the fleet impact model to other models used within the Electromobility Modelling project, e.g., to an agent-based model for analysing technology uptake - add well-to-wheel estimates to current tank-to-wheel energy consumption and emission results My background I have been trained as an economist and social scientist at University of Cologne, Germany, Sciences Po Paris, France and University of Potsdam, Germany. I have completed vocational training at a journalist school. I have then worked as a Researcher at Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, Germany, focussing on Mobility and Climate-friendly investment. In my Ph.D. thesis I have applied an expert-based Bayesian Network approach to analyse the fleet composition and related GHG emissions in Germany until 2030. Prior to joining the Electromobility Modelling project at the EC JRC s Institute for Energy and Transport in May 2014, I have worked as a self-employed policy consultant, focussing on mobility and renewable energies. My interests and skills Of the topics focussed in the Summer School, I am reasonably familiar with questions of mobility and traffic, esp. electromobility, have a good understanding of agent based modelling and a basic understanding of behavioural modelling. I am an interested newcomer to big data and related tools. GS.2D Group D (EV: Electric Vehicles)

GKATZOFLIAS Dimitrios Joint Research Centre, Italy I started recently working on an electro-mobility project and I am interested to explore the following relevant topics: Study of driving profiles, parking and charging events for use in infrastructure grid allocation studies. Extraction and transformation of data from electro-mobility modelling tools for further use in other tools. Methodology for optimal geospatial allocation of charging infrastructure. Study current problems and gaps in the collection, monitoring and reporting of electromobility data and projects. GS.4C Group D (EV: Electric Vehicles)

MCGRATH Senan ESB, Ireland I am the CTO of the organisation providing a national electric vehicle charging infrastructure for Ireland. My interest is in providing the data from charge points to research better location, queues, future plans etc. GS.4D Group D (EV: Electric Vehicles)
