Place the 5/16 x1-1/4 stainless steel socket head screw with the black washer through the single hole on Bracket A and then thread on the flanged nut. Place the Top Backing Plate with the two carriage bolts on the front of the machine and BRACKET A on the inside of the machine so the single hole is on the outside. Hands tighten all your hardware with washer and nuts. Leave the bracket loose to fit the windshield in the upright position. You will tighten these later. Bracket A Top backing plate Step 3: Stuff bubble wrap in gap between the cage and roll bar to hold nuts in place or you will lose them in the body. Remove Stock metric bolts from cage. Step 4: Reach under the fender of the front and pop out the vent piece on the hood. Now you re going to take brackets C F E to fill in the vent section of the hood. Take Bracket C with the arrow that is stamped in the bracket so it faced up to the sky. Place under the fender and make sure the welded nut is towards the back of the machine. Now place bracket E on top of bracket C on the outside of the machine with the flat smooth side facing out. Place Bracket F on top of Bracket E and use your 5/16x 1-1/2 Stainless steel socket head screws and black washers to hold in place. Do not tighten these you still have to move them for correct fitment of the windshield. Make sure not to cross thread. Repeat on other side. Review step by step with install video. Step 5: Take Bracket D with 5/16x1-1/2 stainless steel socket head screw. This is going to be under the fender. Line up the holes with the side that has the welded nut on it to the back of the hood mount brackets installed in step 4. Repeat on other side. Step 6: Take your triangle nut bracket with the nut facing the ground and the 5/16 Grade 8 1-1/2 bolt and washers. Your bolt with small washer and large washer go down through the bracket and frame and to the triangle piece. Tighten and secure in place. Repeat on other side. Front of Machine Step 7: Take your hood pin piece with one nut on it and place through bracket F and hand tighten with your second nut. Leave loose to fit the windshield in the down position.
Step 8: We have provided a bottom vent seal. Go ahead and notch out about a 1 section on each end of the seal for the vent to shut properly. Make sure to push on the seal tight between the corner sections as best you can. The seal will want to push back a bit. It will form over time. Step 9: This is where you will want to install the wiper if you have one. See wiper install attached below. Step 10: Next is installing your Sliders for the vent. You have a left and right side. There should be the bottom bracket bolted to the vent already in place. Take the slider for each side and bolt together as seen below. Step 11: You re now ready to install your windshield. You will need to have a second person help you out. Take your 4 carriage bolts with washers and black nylock nuts. The hinge on the windshield needs to go inside of the brackets bolted on the roll cage. Center up the windshield with the top brackets and bottom brackets on the cage. At this point you can start to tighten bolts when they are lined up just right. Start with the bottom brackets and the roll cage. Then tighten top pin first then center that pin in the slotted hole best you can and tight bolt on the top bracket. Next install the rubber grommets to the pins. Put the big hole of the grommet on the bolt and rest the windshield on the grommet then the t knob secures windshield in place. Step 12: Now you need to lay the windshield down and center the hood brackets. Line up the holes and adjust the brackets if needed. With the windshield laying down and in the right position you can now tighten the brackets and hood pins. Don t forget to put your grommet on the pins so your windshield doesn t rattle. Step 13: If you have a stock Polaris roof on your machine you will need to trim the front lip about 1 in order for the window to fold down properly. We will provide a second seal that will cover the cut edge. Step14: Reinstall your roof after its trimmed and secure the back bracket on the back of your machine. Now you re ready to ride!
