for two way ontrol of hot water and hilled water systems Desription The Full Port Series are atuated two way ball valves for digital or analog ontrol of hot and hilled water systems up to 50% glyol. Eah unit is omprised of a rotary atuator and linkage assembly oupled to the valve body that offers high, positive lose off and low torque. This full port design is less restritive providing high flow harateristis with low pressure drops. Valve sizing ranges from / inh to inhes or 5 mm. to 50 mm. with a lose off pressure of 00 PSIG. These low profile, ompat units are able to be installed with ease in the often tight, restrited areas found in unit ventilators, fan oils, terminal reheat oils and larger air handlers. These atuated ball valves are available with standard NPT female onnetions or with double union onnetions and either NPT female or sweat ouplings as shown in the photograph. ACTUATION The valve motors are rated at 5 in.lb. or.9 Nm and 50 in.lb. or 5. Nm. torque. It operates on VAC/0VDC power supply and is available in either digital or analog models. The digital units respond to position or point floating ontrol. The analog models will aept -0VDC and -0mA ontrol signals. Both analog and digital valves are equipped with a reversing swith that ontrols the start position. The Enerdrive System*, the Eletroni Spring, is a patented fail positioning devie available on seleted Full Port models. It is a patented, eletroni iruit integral to the PC board that relies upon the inherent harateristis of a super apaitor to retain energy. Initiated by an interruption of the power supply, the Enerdrive System engages and, utilizing this stored energy, drives the valve at full rated torque in a lokwise or ounterlokwise diretion until it reahes its safety position where it remains indefinitely or until the power is restored. A seletion swith allows the installer to determine the fail diretion during installation. As this is an eletroni and not a mehanial devie, the life-span is unlimited if used in aordane with the instrutions on installation and operation. LINKAGE ASSEMBLY This rugged glass filled nylon platform isolates and protets the atuator from the valve body greatly reduing heat transmission in hot water installations and ondensation in hilled water installations. The design of the braket allows for the atuator and platform to be situated on the valve in any of four positions in 90 degree inrements relative to the flow of water. A zin stem extension is fitted with an unobtrusive handle with whih the tehniian may position the valve to aid in system balaning when power is not available. In addition, a / inh optional spaer is available from the fatory to lift the atuator and platform to allow for inreased insulation. VALVE BODY The valve body is forged brass (ASTM B) in a standard NPT female onnetion or as a double union onnetion with either NPT female or sweat ouplings. This seond onfiguration greatly enhanes the ease with whih the valves are installed. In addition, these valves are available with either a nikel plated brass ball and brass stem or all stainless steel ball and stem. The stem is a blowout proof design with double O ring paking and the valve seats are baked by EPDM O rings for smooth, long-life, low torque operation. *U.S.A.
