The family of the late David W. Salter donated his collections to the Southern Museum in May 2010. Single photocopies are available for research purposes only for a nominal fee. 1 st shot of day taken from the rear platform of the caboose a few miles south of Robbinsville, North Carolina on run to Junction in November 1964. Similar to many views of steam days looking back at the track where smoke hovered over the rails.
