2004 Model Year General Specification Changes TRIUMPH DAYTONA 955i Specification changes for 2004: - Re-styled cockpit and seat hump for sleeker, more aerodynamic profile. - Revised headlamp shape, restyled mirrors and new graphics to enhance Daytona family resemblance. - Improved cockpit infill and colour-matched air-intakes for added refinement. - Vibrant Racing Yellow paint scheme. - Special Edition available with Jet Black paintwork to frame, swingarm and wheels. The 2004 Daytona 955i features newly chiselled twin headlights, uncluttered cockpit layout, sleek mirrors, colour-coded air scoops and new seat cowl. Under the Daytona s sharper exterior beats the highly refined fuel-injected 955cc threecylinder heart. It provides a heady peak power output of 149PS (147bhp) along with a great spread of power throughout the rev-range. Peak torque of 100Nm (74ft.lbf) is delivered at 8,200 rpm. The Daytona s chassis, likewise, provides the perfect blend of stability and responsiveness. Front and rear suspension, 45mm telescopic forks and monoshock respectively, are fully adjustable. As befits such a powerful machine tyre sizes are 120/70-ZR17 (front) and 190/50-ZR17 (rear), allowing use of the very best sports rubber. Twin four-piston calipers stop the front wheel via 320mm floating discs and a single twin-piston caliper works the rear 220mm disc. A carefully matched range of Triumph accessories are available, including a highlevel oval carbon can (for circuit use only) and double-bubble style screen. Other items like custom-fit soft luggage extend the Daytona s range as a longdistance, real-world sports bike. Since it was first launched some six years ago the Daytona has proven consistently to be the intelligent superbike choice, offering as it does a unique riding experience and, in terms of ownership, major satisfaction. Nothing has changed and for the beautiful new 2004 Daytona. Daytona 955i colour options: - Jet Black - Tornado Red - Racing Yellow Page 4 of 47
TRIUMPH SPEED TRIPLE Specification changes for 2004: - New vivid Tornado Red paint option. - Special Edition available with Jet Black finish to frame, swingarm and wheels. The Triumph Speed Triple. There s never been a machine quite like it and a lot of its character is down to its 120PS (118bhp) fuel-injected three-cylinder motor, which stirs the soul. While the engine churns out massive performance the Speed Triple s superb chassis carves corners with style, thanks to a muscular aluminium frame, singlesided swingarm and fully adjustable suspension front and rear. A sharp steering angle of 23.5 combines with a short 1429mm (56.2in) wheelbase for total precision. With identical 320mm discs and four-piston calipers to the Daytona 955i, the Speed Triple possesses phenomenal stopping power and, when combined with the superlative chassis and grunt-laden engine, ensures a motorcycle that is much more than mere decoration. The fact that it looks so good is an obvious bonus and the Speed Triple s paintwork options, Jet Black, Roulette Green or stunning new Tornado Red, give the opportunity to be as loud or reserved as the owner wishes. Like the Daytona 955i a special edition Speed Triple is available in 2004, with its black engine, frame, wheels, swingarm and Jet Black paint creating an essential, minimal look. Triumph s range of tailor-made Speed Triple accessories, including colourmatched belly pan, fly screen, high-level performance exhaust (for circuit use only) and luggage give scope for personalisation of what is already a very personal motorcycle Speed Triple colour options: - Jet Black - Tornado Red - Roulette Green Page 5 of 47
