3

How did we get to a place where Maas is emerging in Michigan? 4

The person who is the star of previous era is often the last one to adapt to change, the last one to yield to logic of a strategic inflection point and tends to fall harder than most. Andrew S. Grove 5

Place 52

I sold my home in Dearborn, turned over the lease to my car and embarked on pursuing the kind of life I wanted. One that immerses myself in the city I had grown to love and sharing my passion and exuberance with anyone willing to listen. Detroit is by no means new to me (we ll discuss the 239 bars and restaurants I ve been to later) so this isn t an account of my first forays into Detroit, nor is it about me discovering the city. This is a community I m proud to join, but know it s bigger than me. 53

Our future depends on positioning Michigan as The epicenter for Automotive Technology A Global Center of Connected & Automated Technology A place where problems are solved and people are enabled through MaaS 56

Michigan s Automotive & Mobility Association Our mission is to promote, retain and grow Michigan s signature industry 57
